  • This is how the elevators at the St. Louis Fox theatre used to run until the high-ups decided to get their filthy hands on them.

  • I filmed here!!!

  • A piece of story about elevators

  • How old is this building? Does it have the original plumbing fixtures as well?

  • now THAT is amazing!!!

  • @dieselducy I filmed here to.

  • There are definitely no plans for new ones. This building houses art studios so they enjoy that "artsy" feel. If I remember correctly the lobby is named after the guy who has been there 30 year.

  • @dillerjb That's how it should be. Elevators like this should just be left alone. Just cleaned and that's it.

  • NICE FIND!

They're probably kept manual for historic purposes.

  • Is pretty oldest elevator like around 1950's or so. Have any future plans a new ones yet?

  • @ANDREWWALLFORD123 What do you mean by that statement?

  • @MIKECNW Nevermind, Nice to look of classic old elevator to find!

  • what building is this?

  • Suprising there's no cages in between the doors and the elevator.

My dad worked in an office building in Downtoan Chicago with its original elevators and it had those things.
