Nice job Barbadians and the BFS! From a happy viewer in neighbouring Trinidad. God Bless! Good to see sensible and timely responses to problem solving. Well done!

@kingsappho what is your point? If you could salvage all of your ID and whatever important documents you carry with you, would you leave the bag behind?
Now this is what I am talking about!! This is the reason I wanted to be a Fireman when I was a boy....... Good work men! And thank you for putting it out there when ever you are called.
Its great to see a community that realize that time is of the essence would come together and essentially become the emergency services....Extraordinary acts of heroism preformed in the face of danger. Excellent job done by all.

EXCELLENT WORK GUYS,to LFO 80 Boyce,FO 290 Harewood,FO 142 Barrow and FO 246 McClean(the actual rescuer),may God continue to bless and guide the Barbados Fire Service as we carry out our duty
OMG is only now de camera raise up to see the surroundings that i now realise that is the Belle???? wth.....omg....God bless the Barbados Fire Service...excellent job!!!!
@ralphsteadey in this case i ent really noe if them at fault ....right there in that spot is a natural water course which brings the water from st.george tru the belle .... on to the drain behind the old prison , onto out by the globe and on to the careenage
In the wake of Campus TrendZ and us being HIGHLY CRITICAL of how you handled the situation and the blood that was wanted....I think that the crew who handled this job excelled!!! Cool Character and listening to their fellow Civilians made the day.
NEVER forget that you maybe trained to resuce but it's the locals who may have the edge on you at times and co operation between the two always makes things work better. Congrats.........
Great job to the Barbados Fire Service especially the gentleman who went into the water and was with the young lady the entire time. Great job everyone who was on hand to help. You all deserve medals of honour in my opinion. That is some serious water there. It is just gushing over that bridge. She must have been quite scared.
On a lighter note, I noticed she was holding the bag the whole time. I aint vex, must have her important documents.
Congratulations to the personnel from Red Watch (Headquarters Station) on a job well done. Special mention goes to fire officer Pernel McClean (rescuer) and the CBC TV8 crew for sharing this video.
wow...good job guys. I hope someone in authority take note and realises that we must always be prepared no matter what. Give these guys any and whatever equipment they ask for. We need these guys! I'm glad I saw this video. Thank you Barbados Fire Service.
I cant believe this happened in Barbados. If I didnt hear a bajan accent... I would have sworn that this was in another part of the world in a lake or something
God is so good, in saving the life of this young lady. Thank the Barbados fire service and those wonderful citizens that stop to help in saving this young lady.
Good job Barbados Fire Service. And the courage and the initiative of the firefighter who plunged in and swam over to the car to help the young lady in danger of being swept away should make all Bajans proud and thankful that their are people of his caliber in the fire service.
Brilliant!

I really think that Barbados should get up to the times and get a Helicopter for emergencies like this, to just lift people out.
