for the last two days I have been looking for the freaking hotpot stuff. All my searches come up with oil fondues which I know for a fact is not an authentic hot pot. They don't use oil for the most part and boiling oil is scary..... I'm actually slightly angry at myself, I have a similar electric skillet too -_-. Also all the recipes never said what dipping sauces to use.
thanks again. all your videos are simple and easy to follow. =)
Great video! Very good idea. Do you think a fondue set would work for this type of thing? I mean, you couldn't cook as much at one time, but I don't have the cooking piece you do, but do have a fondue set. And instead of oil or cheese you would add the chicken broth.
If it is an electric fondue pot it should work fine. If it is one with a sterno type flame underneath, then you just want to make sure that it gets and remains hot enough to maintain a simmering broth :)
haha, glad your grandmother had fun =) my wife is from szechuan and i love hot-pot...haven't tried mongolian hot-pot, but looks good as well...thanks for sharing!
