  • Too bad Cleopatra was actually said to be rather unattractive and "mannish". And for everyone debating over her lineage, just stop. She's a Ptolemy. Ptolemy's were Greek, end of story.

  • Antony is one slimy dude. haha.

  • Her ancestor was Ptolemy, not Alexander. I do not believe Ptolemy and Alexander's family intermarried

  • 3:30...time to choke-ah-bitch

  • what does he say to her, does anyone know?

  • @christenbbb "promise me one hot deep soft kiss forever"

  • what act and scene is this part?

  • Cleopatra was so not the Cleo I imagined in my mind. She was too bitchy and little to me. I see a more buxom, elegant lady in my mind.

  • Not only was Cleopatra greek, but egyptians weren't (and aren't for the most part) black anyway. Egypt may be part of africa but her people are part of the middle east. And i agree with countryhoner28 what does her colour have to do with anything?

  • IT is not permited to touch

  • Antony looks like a little child intellectually compared to Cleo, one of my favorite scenes. "Eat shit and die"? Really Anthony is that the best you could come up with? lol

  • @ImaginedWrite

Sounds like you don't know shit about history. She was in fact one of the most brilliant women in history. Just because the Romans were guided by their dick doesn't mean she was a whore. She used it to her advantage and still won in the end.

  • only reason she was popular was because she lived during the time of great people and was able to seduce those that were weak willed and slower minded unlike octavion

  • @punkzorr If you mean with "weak willed" and "slower minded" Caesar and Antonius, you are definately wrong. This series is NOT historically correct. I've done research in the life of Queen Cleopatra for about 16 years, she never seduced Octavian. This is a popular myth. She was queen of Egypt for over 20 years, she was a brilliant and very intelligent monarch.

  • @ImaginedWriter at least she has a name unlike you

  • without mark anthony ceasar wouldnt be one of the greatest generals in the world

  • These two were so hot.

  • “Throughout their history the Romans were only ever afraid of two people. One of them was Hannibal and the other was a woman, Queen Cleopatra.”

  • Does anyone know which track is playing at 4:20 please ? I can't find it in the series soundtrack by Jeff Beal :(

  • EXACTLY

  • Images of Cleopatra VII exist and she did not look like that, more of a stocky strong peasant type but the curly hair was probably a wig since she followed Egyptian practice and relied on their support against her family. She spoke their language and was recognized as Pharoah instead of a semi-Greek colonial ruler. She was divine so could only mate with her divine brother (much younger and totally homosexual) or someone she considered divine - Caesar and his (then) obvious successor Antony fit

  • @Saiaton

All the Ptolemy monarchs were recognized as Pharaoh... not just Cleopatra.

  • Amazing series, but they shouldn't have cast a white woman to play Cleopatra. She doesn't fit the role at all. I know she wasn't black but she wasn't straight up white either. Not just her skin though, even her features just don't suit being Cleopatra. She's supposed to be exotic, this Cleopatra is really disappointing.

  • @vragazzon

    Cleopatra was Macedonian Greek.

Greeks are white. You know, Mediterranian, like Italians, Spaniards and Portuguese.

  • @HungarianNationalist french Romanians Croatians

  • @Chansulus

Only in Southern France. French are mostly Alpine and Cromagnid.

    Croats are mostly Dinaric.

Romanians are a mix between Shiptars (Albanians) and Gypsies.

  • @HungarianNationalist Her ancestor was Alexander the great... and sadly the last ruler of Egypt....

  • Cæsar's son? Pullo's one! xD

  • Cleopatra was genetically greek and greeks were not black.

  • @sexyloser Who cares????!!!!!

  • @sexyloser actually she was more macedonian and i agree they were not black

  • @sexyloser so what if she would have been black, anyway only God knows now !

  • @sexyloser lol...good job...why did you feel the need to impart this common knowledge upon us good you-tubers?

  • Who gives a flying fuck what color she was? She was a amazingly powerful woman. So all u cable HBO\History channel arm chair intellectuals do realize that arguing over the aesthetic(looks) of one of the most powerful and intelligent minds in history meaning your actual grasp of history is that of a 4th grader. Why not discuss her tactics , her legislature , her wit. Oh yeah you can't obviously. Anybody that wants to come out and play with the big kids holla at your girl.

  • hahaha dumb nigs think cleopatra had an afro and a disheki. lol, not in greek egypt.

  • Cleopatra was greek/macedonian. end of story.

As for the video, you cut it off right before the best part, when she's sees her true baby's daddy Titus Pullo!

  • Read the latest bio about Cleopatra by Stacy Schiff...its great. She was a Ptolemy and her origins were mostly Greek. She also was one smart woman to have lived as long as she did. In Rome she proved too smart, rich, and clever for the citizens.....since women then in Roman society had as many rights as perhaps a chicken. In Egypt she was revered, and her city of Alexandria made Rome seem like an outback.

  • She slapped the taste out of his mouth not once but twice. Go Cleo!!

  • ok so how long WAS antony in egypt? when it shows him in end of season 2 i makes u assume at least a few years since cleopatra claims the toddlers are his children. but when i looked it said he was only there for a year? What??

  • This is bullshit for one. Mediterranean people are all shades and various nationalities. Including Egyptians! Greece did not rule the world their wish to conquer the world is simply arrogant. Just because Cleopatra married a Greek did not change her DNA. Like most literature via noncolored people, there is a anglo-saxon twist. Those images are most likely, wishful thinking. No Egyptian looks like a Macedonian. Come on hot seering sun in Egypt. Everyting glorious comes from white races, No way!

  • @sapphire74princess

After Alexander died, the descendants of his Greek general Ptolemy ruled Egypt. The natives were known as "Machimoi" and were treated as second-class to the Greek immigrants in Egypt (notice there are some Machimoi in Cleopatra's escort, though). The Ptolemaic dynasty were all Greeks and tended to only marry other Greeks, so Cleopatra would have been pale-skinned, but it is true that she wouldn't have been quite as pale as she is when depicted here by a British actress.

  • She was queen, and royality and leadership are likened to 'constipation like 'symptoms as indifference to those who would have wanted something from her on their terms and not hers. Perhaps this is the trait I found the actress accomplished. What man wants to be indifferent to the women he wants? Doesn't he set out to make it his goal to prove his intentions are worthy of her attention? An attractive woman who is indifferent to a roomful of males will always get hit on over a willing woman.

  • This Cleopatra was terrible. She tried so hard to be regal, and elegant... she looks constipated for god's sakes.

  • @selty I thought she was unbelievable, and physically she looks exactly like Cleopatra looks in the few coins and portraits that survive from her time, so I loved her, I thought she was the best.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta She might look like her to you, but her acting skill is wooden to me.

  • Also refreshing to see that an actress is and can be seductive, sensual and confident without relying on her bosom size. This actress, in my opinion, nailed the seduction and charm that Cleopatra would have had to had in order to have men succomb to her. So many actors run out and get their attributes enhanced thinking that it will strengthen their acting capabilities. She captivates without her bosom getting in the way, and this is so refreshing to see. Just an opinion I had to share.

  • @countryhoney28 I disagree. I personally do not care about her bosom size. Her acting is just terrible. She does a disservice to Cleopatra in this role.

  • I love the design of this programme. Cleopatra's outfit for example - the Egyptian dress with the Roman/Greek hairstyle. Nice to see that they tried to make it authentic. :)

  • I really like how Posca pronounces "Denarii" at 1:43. That second "I" comes out really well.

  • Ahem... Did anyone else notice Cleopatra's negotiator is Mrs Figg from the Harry Potter movies...?

  • @StrictlyJess LOL

  • People obsess too much about past rulers and their racial heritage. She will always be a fascinating subject as are all past rulers.

  • @countryhoney28 Because people make it an issue.

  • Focus on her deeds, intelligence and charm, what she stood for, her politics and not the color of skin she wore while doing them. Are horses who win the Triple Crown prized for their color or their ability to win?

  • People people people....Cleopatra was neither black or white. You ppl should be ashamed arguing over race as if it really mattered. Besides, all the evidence points to her being of Klingon descent.

  • The Ptolemics would marry their siblings keeping in with Egyptian traditions in order to keep the line pure or whatever. SHE WASN'T BLACK!!!!!

  • Why such racism? Why must you care about the colour of her skin? When, in history did that matter. That has nothing to do with anything she did, it's meaningless. I'm assuming most of you arguing are adults and it is sad to see how petty you are acting. Just appreciate history for the words, and the events, not the appearence of people.

  • "Many scholars believe that Cleopatra's paternal grandmother was a concubine. That woman's background has been assumed to be either Alexandrian or Nubian. She may have been ethnically Egyptian, and she may have had a heritage which we'd today call "black." but who cares honestly

  • @talkindurinthemovie yeah she may have had SOME black egyptian blood from a former ancestor...but the rest of her bloodline was of Greek royalty. .. but Egypt was pretty multicultural, .. it hardly matters i guess. also another tid bit of history.. the real Cleopatra was considered to be ugly, and not attractive at all... but yet she was a master at seducing males, and was incredibly smart.

  • Does Mark Antony really love Cleopatra? He doesn't hate her. Does he?

  • LOL this scene is awesome.

  • i thought mark anthony was a good guy with manners...

  • @Sinnawai the thing is she still had native pure egyptian blood in her as well so she would still have some colour, also the tan from the sun in egyptian weather i'd say o.o

  • @jualkyn Well actually the aristocrats and upper middle in Egypt were mostly Greek(*some were Egyptian but the majority Greek) and the Egyptians were more the middle to lower class people. She would have color simply for the fact that if you are living in the Mediterranean, you are bound to acquire pigmentation. And if you mean her being native Egyptian by her mother, she would be more Greek than Egyptian because her assumed mother is the daughter of one of the Greek Ptolemy family

  • @Sinnawai that is all up to interpretation and context then who the true "egyptians" are in that sense if the rulers of egypt are ppl from greece? Aren't they technically egyptian at that point? Also it depends on what time period your talking about. Other civilizations didn't always rule egypt and there was a period of time where they were their own unity so if you mean cleopatra does not have a single drop of aboriginal NATIVE egyptian blood), i feel like she has a speck that blood at least.

  • @jualkyn ..Royalty did not hang about outside...they are always covered from the sun.

  • FUCK ISLAM AND SHIT EATER MUSLIMS ALL OVER THE WORLD! Muslims will eat shit and die like curs!

  • @Sinnawai I have boxed sets of the two seasons of the HBO series ROME. Somebody should have slipped salt peter in Mark Anthony's food. Since he had his brains between his legs and did not give a shit if Rome got the wheat or not.

  • what episode was that please !?

  • 'your son will eat shit and die"

Thats funny no matter who you are.

  • eww this cleo is mad ugly

  • The circling around each other here is so well acted. I didn't realise that Cleopatra was played by the same actress who played the duplicious Lucy in Being Human.

  • Nothing makes me laugh harder than listening to blacks make the claim that Cleopatra was a black women..it just shows that not only do they not know a damn thing about history in general...they know even less about the history of one of the most famous places within the Continent of Africa....which most of them think is a country..Time to put down the sherm and pick up a book.

  • @WiseGuy5674 no my friend when we say black we dont mean skin colour--we mean mixed it has been done by National Geographic and other scientists that Cleo was ethic and had negro hair...google it

  • Lots of intelligent comments by well-rounded individuals on this video.

  • @TK2692 Youtube, the meeting place of all such individuals.

  • @kemetkush You are delusional, that arrogance can be your doom if a 3rd World War breaks in...never forget that, you listen to many fools, including White trash scum fags...take my advice kid...Europe cannot be defeated easy, it takes more than retarded words...and i am Roman blood for ages, so don't mix your drinks USA boy. Open your fucking eyes before acting like a clow...Roma Capvt Mvndi.

  • @BigAl4250 white trash scum fags? you are to hard on european-people////hahahaha

  • @kemetkush I am European and i know my History unlike you speaking crap to feel good about yourself...you fail like a science fiction worthless movie...at least some are realistic. You are a Nigger and always a Nigger slave minded weakling fool.

  • @BigAl4250 stay with europe history, egypt is african history//// and you don't know me kid////

  • @kemetkush Doesn't mean all Africa is the same you Nation of Islam moron in retarded USA school system...Egypt has greater influences from Alexanders ppl and Romans later, even in Zimbabwe you find Phoenician influences...But Ethipia was early Christian and Hebrews are Black, i give you credit for that, too bad Jewish snakes stole that identity, but i know them very well, they can't fool me. Happy New Year.

  • @BigAl4250 who said all africa are the same moron? nation of islam? usa school system? egypt did have influences from rome later, i give you credit for that, to bad jewish snakes put a stop to that, but i also know them well, phoenician influences zimbabwe? happy new year////

  • @BigAl4250 ..Are you serious?..Muslims are destroying ALL European cultures from every angle, even yours my friend..They'll even breed you out eventually if you guys don't put the brakes on it soon..At least we have a couple of oceans between us...they drive buses and ferries to invade you. Good luck with that, by the way.

  • @WiseGuy5674 Not all my friend, mostly they are infesting Britain and those Liberal shit heads called French, NOT here...Actually USA has more Muslims per square mile than Europa. Here if they start preaching/building crap Mosques we give them a "nice" Sicylian hospitality. Happy New Year.Buona giornata!

  • @LGHHJHH Cleopatra was no Nigger you retarded fool.

  • @Sinnawai While Auletes' paternity is known, his maternity is not. He was the illegitimate son of Ptolemy IX, as he was also referred to as 'Nothos' which is Greek for Bastard. So his mother may have been an Egyptian courtier or priestess. Also, Cleopatra's mother is not known, as Auletes' only known wife Cleopatra V vanished from record roughly two years prior to her birth. And some ancient historians wrote that only Auletes' eldest child was legitimate.

  • He liked it when she slapped him. :)

  • She is perfect

  • @Sinnawai yep she was greek its a fact ptlomy was greek his daughter and he screwed a greek to produce her her coins show a greek face greek hair and greek complexion

  • @bekfrexo what?

  • @kemetkush He is saying Cleopatra was no Negroid, and he is correct. North Africa is not a Negroid Area, her Dynasty was Macedonian.

  • The Africans also built the pyramids. And the white man still cant figure out how.

  • @missVeemack can YOU figure out how?

  • @missVeemack Yes they did, working as Slaves for the Egyptians.

  • where is that guy frooommmmmm......popular movie?

  • the chick who plays her is very sexy!! not gorgeous, but she has a naughty sexiness about her!!

  • Well, she does look greek/macedonian with a touch of egyptian with the makeup..i just didn't think she was pretty enough to be cleopatra.. :S Always pictured Cleopatra to be a real beauty seeing as that's one of many things she is famous for :S Great acting though :)

  • @ThnkHppyThghts I thought everyone knew cleopatra wasn't hot at all...

  • ma quanto è brutta sta tizzia che fa Cleoptara...sembra una nana malefica..

  • It's very interesting that the slaves are conducting all the business.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS KISS!!!!!!

  • I suppose Marc Antony wants to be a eunuch too if he wants to touch Cleopatra that bad. Well, there's one good way that can be arranged. >:)

  • She died of the anal inflicted death sentence.

  • cleopatra was the mother of jesus cristo.

  • @Sinnawai The problem is that afrocentrics have usurped Egypt's history and now claim it for themselves. Little does it matter that not only was Cleopatra of pure European stock [Macedonian to be exact and therefore likely quite fair], but many other Egyptians were also caucasian as mummy remains and wall paintings have revealed. Take Nefertiti for example, although of pure Egyptian stock, she was classically caucasian looking.

  • @Rayarena I think Egyptian have lighter skin complexion compared to other Africans because the people migrations from the middle east which was not uncommon. So I think the Egyptian would have been a mixture of people. Cleopatra's family had Greek heritage so yeah her skin would be fair but her family came to power much later so I don't think it Afrocentric to say their were some dark skinned Egyptians especially since it was invaded by Nubia at some point.

  • @Rayarena Absolutely. The most vocal and ignorant blacks feel that because Egypt is in Africa it's somehow their heritage, wich it's not. Ancient Egyptians, probably looked like what modern Egyptians look like today, after all, they weren't african looking and Egypt, specially Alexandria on Cleo's time was a melting pot. Regarding Nefertiti, it is believed she was foreign, however, the statues don't present her with african features.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta

sweetie just because white folks tell u history doesnt mean that its accurate. She was not greek. She was a woman of color and afroid. The statuess prove it. White people destroy and tangle history. Study deeper if you care. Free your mind from white is right.

  • @missVeemack You really need to educate your ignorant racist mind, I've been reading about Cleopatra and Egypt for over 10 years now and I know that Cleopatra wasn't black, all evidence points to her being greek looking or mediterranean looking but most certainly she had no afro nor was she black.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta

BUT SHE WASN'T WHITE ETHER IT WOULD BE BETTER IF SHE WAS DARKEN MORE MEDITERRRANEAN LOOKING, ITS OBVIOUS SHE WHITE.

  • . . . she does look Mediterranean. She has strong Greek features. 'Darkening' her wouldn't make a bit of difference since Mediterranean peoples vary in their skin-colour. This actress can certainly pass for Greek or Italian heritage, both of which generally fall under "white" as it is commonly used today.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta yes that would make sense due to the fact that she was from the ptolemaic dynasty which if veemack knew his history would kno that ptolemy was one of alexanders generals who took a egypt after alexander died and his empire crumbled.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta absolutely. The funny thing is that the ones saying she was black are incredibly ignorant, they don't know anything about history, if they did they wouldn't say such a thing.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta Yes, Kleopatra is of Greek/Macedonian heritage, with some of her forebears having blonde hair.

  • @Bexitaestvita well I don't know about the blonde hair, are you being serious? =) And you spelled it right, her name in fact is Kleopatra, I don't know why it was transformed to Cleopatra, any idea on this?

  • @LaSerpentaCanta There are reports that say that. It isn't that hard to believe though, considering her heritage. As for the letter change, I think it was just carelessness on part of some historian.

  • @Bexitaestvita

    no, she was black

  • @IndividualParties She was about as black as Nathan Bedford Forrest.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta

no, she was black, these are all just lies of the white euro nigger.

  • @IndividualParties no she wasn't. Don't worry, her tomb is very close to being found and she'll come across caucasian, I know it.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta

No, keep lookin for that tomb, she won't be anything but Black like she's supposed to be, and then you'll be looking for a "tomb" to bury your preposterous theories about our kleo being a white girl. She was not one of the white euro niggers, she was black, get over it.

  • @IndividualParties you're pathetic. And she is not your girl.

  • @IndividualParties "white euro niggers" damn, i was actually talking to you like a reasonable person, won't make that mistake again. enjoy your fantasies about history....

  • @LaSerpentaCanta what about a jewfro?

  • @LaSerpentaCanta Hey check it our somehow in all your reading on Cleopatra you forgot to read how in 2008 we already solved this using this little thing we call Science and she turned out to be bi-racial. Yep mixed .Type In Face of Cleopatra in google a real historian solved it.You know ordering the history channel doesn't really make you an expert on History right. And All black/mixed women don't have Afros. You and the other 28 ignorant ass pseudo arm chair intellectuals can suck it .

  • @MadelineKArita How the fuck can they know if she was bi-racial if they've never found her mummy and seen her skull or done ADN test?? What you saw was a THEORY not a fact catering to imbecile black people who feel they own egypt.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta

lol, you're in denial that she wasn't white, that is SO funny. Imbecile white people like you who feel they own egypt need to keep their greedy hands off of our history.

  • @IndividualParties lol YOUR history?? you wanna get all racial with these?? Why don't you fuck yourself and go study the life of Mammy at the cotton plantations because Ancient Egypt is NOT your history, nor is it black people's history, it's EVERYONE's history, imbecile bitch.

  • @LaSerpentaCanta

LOL, you are SO in denial, I love it!! This is so funny, I can't wait to see what desperate comment you'll leave next. Cleopatra wasn't white, and it's driving you fucknutrs. Typical of the white euro nigger, they want everybody to be white; they want it so bad that they start to imagine it until it turns into some kind of delusion. Soon they'll remember Dr. King as a white man, lololol, it's OUR history LOSER, keep your slimy hands off of OUR history.

  • @IndividualParties it is not your history and will never be your history, now fuck off.

  • @IndividualParties It's a fact that she was Greek, or mixed. She came from the royal line of Ptolemy who did not marry outside of their lineage generally, to the point that they practiced inbreeding. So I have to ask, what the hell are you talking about? Also, the fact she was Greek takes nothing away from the heritage, the amazing history, and acomplishments of ancient Egypt.

  • @BillKiernan

    No, she was black.

  • @IndividualParties holy shit. we know for a FACT she had an ancestral lineage from Ptolemy, no doubt about it. so remind me, how could she possibly be "black?" At best, she would have been mixed, and there's no evidence of that. What evidence do you have that she was a black african?

  • @BillKiernan

holy shit, we know for a FACT she was black, no doubt about it.

  • @IndividualParties you've yet to do anything but assert it, you don't have a leg to stand on. go sit at the kids table.

  • @BillKiernan

Caesar fucked her, I think he would know if he was fucking black cunt...

“Her breast were ever so succulent yet her skin was as dark as night, I lye with the beautiful Egyptian queen, even though she was as a nubian, I still wanted her.”

    - Julius Caesar.

  • @IndividualParties Source?

  • @BillKiernan

My source is julius caesar, dummy, you can't read? He fucked her and said she was black.

  • @IndividualParties "My source is julius caesar, dummy, you can't read? He fucked her and said she was black" Hahaha, ah ok, so you're a troll. cool, troll on man. I'll make up my own quote "Every morning I wake up and wash my lily white Greek ass, and thank the Gods I'm a Greek woman." -Cleopatra of Alexandria.

  • @IndividualParties lol thats funny cleopatra was from greek royalty, she had an egyptian grandmother. she wasnt "black" lol

  • @BillKiernan agreed....I don't understand why some of these black people just won't accept it..same with the Jesus thing..they are saying he was black too although he definitely was not.

  • @MadelineKArita

"in 2008 we already solved this using this little thing we call Science and she turned out to be bi-racial"

Yeah that was an air-tight discovery. A computer generated image of a missing skull from an unmarked grave that may have been her HALF sister, and their conclusion? "might have been some admixture"

  • @missVeemack

I agree. I have no doubt that she had some Greek blood, but that was at 300 years before she came to the throne. You mean to tell me some Africa blood didnt get mixed in there.

  • @hotgrlsapp nope. Ruoles have a tendency to marry within the family or within other lines close to them. A syrian, would count, but not a nubian or a cushite.

  • @hotgrlsapp

Even in 300 hundred years... lets say she had 3 (which is actually a very high number) very darkskinned sub-saharan ancestors (which wouldnt have happend... because their were very few sub-saharan africans in egypt anyway). She would still after 4 or 5 generations look "italiano/greek" because her dark skin ancestry would eventually be "washed out". Case and point... Rashida Leah Jones. Who is 1/4 black, yet you wouldnt know that unless she told you.

  • @hotgrlsapp

The nobility and upper class of Hellenic Egypt (Egypt after Alexander the Great conquered them and the rest of the known world) were exclusively Greek. Alexandria had only one district for non-Greeks.

  • @missVeemack OMG you are ridiculous.. how can you deny simple fact... do you deny dinosaurs as well..

  • @missVeemack "The statuess prove it" which statues? the ones made of black stone? what about the white ones? or the reddish ones? what about the FACT that she came from the ancestral line of Ptolemy, Greeks?

  • I personally believe she was murdered.

  • @Sinnawai Exactly, while her family may have lived in Egypt for 100s of years - they intermarried, and so they obviously looked Greek. Cleopatra actually had red hair (she wore a wig), and blue eyes. Besides, even if this Cleopatra looked nothing like her, the actress played her part brilliantly. :D

  • I love you Mark Antony.

  • @Sinnawai Thank god someone actually said that. So many people assume Cleopatra was African/Egypitan. She was Macedonian/Greek for Christ sake!

  • I hate Cleopatra, I'm glad she died like she did .. A fool.

  • @MICHELLEGIBBONSx She died by an asp bite because she thought it would take her strait to the gods. She died rather than being publicly demoralized and killed by Octavian.

  • I know how she died ...

  • @MICHELLEGIBBONSx How was she a fool?

  • @mrchrisdavis09 Because her plans collapsed and she killed herself.

  • @MICHELLEGIBBONSx They weren't her plans in history. By that stage Rome was the dominant power in the Med. Any other power that still existed by this point were pretty much at Rome's mercy. When Antony went to Egypt, Cleopatra didn't have any choice and had to co-operate with him, just as she had with Caesar. It was ultimately Antony's plans that failed.

And to say that everyone who fails is a fool isn't very fair. Hannibal failed and killed himself, but I wouldn't say he was a fool.
