  • Can u give me one recepie, where i can use those beans=)?cheers from Norway=)

  • So good to see your traditional family farm. In Ontario Canada we buy fresh green beans all the time and we tend NOT to overcook them......canned beans are considered yuck! I noticed in the midwest when I lived there that every single diner serves army green soggy canned green beans with their entrees.......in farm country ! & margarine - not butter is served. I found that very strange. Kudos to you and yours.

  • green beans r good.!

  • you guys lookin for any help in the summer pickin? i have picked beans but i ran a super jack not the big jack. i live in turner and i dont pick anymore for the farm i worked on cause they work less because they bought another superjack. less time in the field and no work for me

  • What a happy video!

  • I absolutely love string beans, especially lightly steamed.

We complain about the price of vegetables, but these farms are at the mercy of distributors, fuel prices, etc.

People want pesticide-free produce, but will they tolerate wormholes in the food.

  • i forgot to say that i add a lil salt and LOTSA pepper cause i love pepper during the cooking process. plus, at the very end i drench the dish with lemon juice. half a lemon per serving. i like sour dishes :D

  • a good recipe for green beans. bring water to a boil, and while the water comes to a boil, cook up some bacon cut into 1 inch pieces. meanwhile blanch the beans for a few minutes (keep them firm, dont cook too much!). the beans finish before the bacon, so take them into cold water to stop cooking. drain. when bacon is done, move both to a pan to finish cooking the beans/bacon with cubed tomato. only until the tomato has softened a bit. don't make it into mush! all pieces should be firm.

  • That's a lot of green beans. o.O

  • Hey showboat-

Don't make it seam like Rocket Science. Anybody can grow green beans. They are the easiest of all vegetables to grow. High sand loam and water is all thats needed.

  • Beans are like crack, 'cept they're good for you, green, and not addictive...

  • i like green beans

  • beans beans evry where=)

  • I mean they were EVERYwhere! As far as the eye could see :)

  • They're beans for christs sake get a life I was joking when I typed in beans but you guys are sick! I dont eat babies. ahem.

  • Can you please do something about the fact that the video stops every few seconds and then starts up again.

  • um...

    thats your computer...

    beans are fun...

  • ...Why Am I Watching This?

  • German sweet sour green beans with bacon, nothing can be better in summer.

  • lol!

  • i fuckin love green beans. with some some crushed red pepper MMMMMMMMMMMM

  • Heh, I was expecting a parody of "red, red wine."

...I never really figured so much went into green beans. Hm.

  • What is this hethen nonsense? Get some Jesus into your life! Simply disgusting.

  • ha ha ha..damn green bean growing heathens! mercy on their souls!

  • gud job man..

  • I respect these people so much more than any Politician. Like she said it is about Integrity, the word Integrity is a Dirty word in the U.S. Congress.

  • dude its a video about green beans

  • "we use pesticides as infrequently as possible"... not good enough for me, but keep on truckin! : )

  • Our whole family loves green beans. What would we do without our green bean casserole that is requested every family dinner and special occasion. Thanks for a informative look at how our beans get to the store.

  • i never relized how thay got all those beens in the can, they sure can travel.. awesome

  • never relized how they did all those green beans, awesome,

  • I love green beans. This was great to watch. Thank you very much. It is hard to believe green bean prices have stayed the same for 25 years.

  • They're made OF PEOPLE ! ! PEOPLE ! !

  • WHAT about soylent green?

  • ah not c00l

  • I found this very interesting. And I love to see that this is being done in the USA still. I am kind of getting scared of eating much from China anymore.

  • everything should be made here in the USA I think-- the quality would be better...; but also why not have 10% be organic people will pay more for no pesticides...I guess home gardens are smart.

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • "very exciting"

  • That is exactly what American farming is all about. God bless the farmers...like these. What a contrast between family farms and corporate farms who have a formula for production and lobbyists who stick it to the American taxpayers for billions a year.

  • i ate that many green beans once

  • heaven? what a joke...

  • it sure beats anything imported from CHINA, theyve got no standards in health and food safety.

  • Yummy, those beans look sooo good!! I settle for them frozen in area of Canada that I live in but every chance I get I grow my own but they sure as heck don't look as good as yours. One year, my plants were so small that the tip of the beans grew back into the ground. Not a great gardener I'm afraid. Grateful for ppl like you!

  • Hello

  • i love green beans!!! i didnt know that was how they were done!? thank you

  • thank God for good people like you

    keep the faith

  • this may sound odd but does anyone know who plays that little orchestral ditty towards the end? i've heard that song sum where and I liked it alot...other than that cool beans! xD good to know our food is healthier these days...what with chemicals and such!

  • its from garageband, soundtrack, etc. its just a sound clip from the apple company that isnt lisenced so anyone can use it

  • victory gardens. victory gardens. 20 million victory gardens. look it up.

  • Very sweet. It's important to know where our food comes from.

  • Good to know that those green beans don't come from CHINA! Read all the labels anyway.

  • you might like stormin mormon -- search it

  • We assume food will always be on the shelves of the grocery stores. If anything interupts, shipping, processing or harvesting people won't be making childish kid comments as have been made.

"Don't complain about food with your mouth full"

  • I wholly agree, when the power goes out and the gasoline runs out, these dumbasses will have no idea how to feed themselves. Darwin at work!

  • who gives a shit how green beans are harvested?

  • Nice video. Great information, interesting, fun to watch! I'd say that's worth 5 stars!

  • vedio....wow

  • start paCKING FOR FRESH MARKET AND YOU WELL MAKE MORE MONEY,BUT IT TAKES WORK A LOT MORE THAN CANNING UNNHEALTHY SALTED GREEN BEANS

  • thanks for this vedio. i plan to tell others who teach about it. a great vedio for schools or middle school kids to see. these farmers are awesome.

  • Today there may be less than 1 million people engaged in farming. When oil become expensive and harder to import because of depleted reserves, the US may need to train 50 million more people to be engaged in local community-based agriculture to sustain food needs two decades from now.

  • You would think that a Jehova's witness would know how to spell heathen!! Where on earth was the Satan part in this video? Did I miss it or is JW1 insane??

  • Wow, I guess worshipping Satan like a hethen cunt is popular!

That's all I got out of this video. Get some Jesus into your life, post some decent videos, and stop being a lost soul bound for Hell. Thanks.

  • .. ponks J W over the head with a tin of the devil's beans ... fart.

  • too slowly

  • They come a long way before they are on our plates, I always thought that they were hand picked, so thank you for showing how they are grown and all the process.....keep it up, the tradition and the hard work....

  • NO FAT PEOPLE ARE BAD!!!

  • Thank you Farmers!! The world would starve without your hard work!

  • I love beans and potatoes! hmmmm!

  • Beans beans beans beans, the more you eat the more you toot! No really, beans are great though. I love my green beans.

  • This is one of my favorite subscriptions. Why? Interesting, intelligent, visually a treat, and very well produced, edited. Good job, people!

  • Mmmmm Green Beans

  • I love videos where I can see the process.

  • I've seen things like this on Unwrapped (food network) but I like how they have the owners/workers talk instead of a host.

  • I have only a 3ft by 3ft spot for beans ,but they give me more than I can use.

  • Cool!
