In my opinion I think you should have used a song in the Gothenburg Metal incarnation that is the Jester Race album for In Flames, if not then then Lunar Strain... or Whoracle as a last string.

And for Soilwork, Chainheart Machine would be the perfect example for actual Swedish Melodic Death Metal
