Dude, just cause Dave got credited on all of those songs doesn't mean those songs are necessarily his. He helped alot, for sure, and you can hear his influence in those songs, but don't just act as if the rest of Metallica did jack all. Hit the lights and motorbreath were written by james and lars too...

@FlamePhoenix2009 dave was in a band called panic before metallica and while he was in panic he wrote his first song set the world afire and he later wrote jump in the fire and started on the mechanix before leaving panic and joining metallica who just put a few finishing touches on the mechanix not much though and cliff wrote pulling teeth while with a band called truama but that will always be his theres ur sources u wanted now wheres ur sources to prove me wrong

@creepingdeath171 ok ill give you the source guitarist hugh tanner of the early 80s band phantom lord wrote the song motorbreth and later he would leave phantom lord to play with a bigger group named leather charm who didnt really make it but while in the band they wrote hit the lights and the vocalist and bassist left the band and the vocalist was replaced by hetfield and the bassist was replaced by ron and then hetfield and tanner wrote phantom lord then left with ron to go form metallica and.
