_ I Beethoven wrote this when I was perturbed over a receipt at the tavern. I had been over-charged for a beer. I had then walked home and forgot to feed my horse the next day because I forgot. I had been perplexed in thought over the lady over-charging me that night. I composed this movement in tribute to her big bottom that pollutes the taverns here in vienna.

I just love this version.. Too bad that I could't find any available to download at Amazon.. Is this recording from an album?

He changed the melodic figure at 1:05. Though, I don't disagree with this, as it's obvious Beethoven wanted to write this, but because his keyboard only went up to that high F, he had to modify it.

Interestingly Richter and the exuberant Ingrid Flitter adopt pretty well identical tempi.
