  • the man wont go down!

  • As kid's, how many of us growing up in the late 70's and 80's tried to run the ball like Walter, holding it like a loaf of bread while stutter stepping around the corner then high stepping into the end zone?! Man, Walter meant so much to me growing up as a kid, it rips at my heart that my childhood hero has passed. Hero's should NEVER,EVER die!!! R.I.P. sweetness, I wear my #34 jersey in honor of you!!!!

  • barry sanders would destroy walter peytons ankles

  • 2:55 mothafucka lowered his shoulder without a helmet on, now thats some balls

  • Jim Brown was a hero. Joe montana was a legend.Walter payton was Gods gift.

  • my fav part is at 2:45

  • We will always miss you walter RIP. <3

  • pretty much shows how bad the bears were at the time and only that legend walter helped them lol

  • monster stiff arm

  • idk how u culd consider jim brown bttr then this man

  • @gaylo101 When it comes to doing all the jobs of a running back - running, blocking and receiving - there's really no contest. Jim Brown said that wherever he went there were always two other guys that followed him so it's the same thing. He's totally wrong on that. There were many times where Walter came in and blocked a blitzing linebacker to save the quarterback's ass, or threw a vicious block to allow his teammate with the ball to get some extra yards. There's no comparison.

  • I am a Packer fan, but this guy was an animal. Definetly the best RB ever. Unfortunately I am too young to have ever seen him play.

  • how did you get to use this fort minor song, i tried to use it in a video before and it was immediately removed because of copyright, when i say immediately i mean immediately

  • The difference between Walter Payton and Barry Sanders is Power

  • best part was at 0:00 to 5:02 =]

  • Da Bears gonna take it dis year holla.

  • I was at a party watching that K.C. game at about 1:10. I think that may have been his best run ever. It was only about 11 yards for a TD, but every guy on the defense hit him at least once. I don't care what people say about Jordan. Sweetness was loved by all of Chicago far more than any other Chicagoan in history. He lived here and put in a lot of his own time with underprivileged children. 23 years after his last game he's still voted by the incoming rookies as their all time favorite by 80%.

  • @tuxedotshirtparty um no people have an opinion lol btw check the stats emmit smith barely beat walter paytons record when i say close i mean like one game

  • lions player "where'd the ball go"

    announcer "touchdown bears!"

  • 3:40 thanks for helping number 80

  • I thank god I got to see him play live.

    R.I.P SWEETNESS!

  • payton was the best and still the best even his blockers are the fucking best!

  • i still dont know how people can compare ap to payton i just doesnt work

  • 30 year old highlights still some of the best

  • This makes me proud to be a Bears fan.

  • Most powerful runner EVER.

  • For Bears fans Walter was the only ray of hope for many years. Always thought we had a chance because we saw him carry a team on his back for so many years, against defenses whose game plan was to stop HIM, knowing the Bears had no other weapons. We saw him week after week. SportsCenter wasn't around so rest of nation didn't see him like we did. Heart of a lion and the word quit was not in his vocabulary. No disrespect to Brown, Sanders or Smith, all great RB's but Chicago LOVES Walter. RIP

  • G.O.A.T RB

  • 1:17 Best part

  • walter payton RIP

  • You know he is the best running back when he can break like 10 tackles a play...

  • Marshall Faulk is the greatest runningback ever

  • @tatertots00 lmao , he dont even rank ..

  • @bblazeff 1000 and 1000 nuff said

  • '85 Bears would crush the Barry and the '90 lions

  • why couldnt emmit smith die instead..?

  • im pretty sure walter payton will be in our hearts forever ...hes the best there was and the best there always will be

  • He was an incredible back.....probable starter for the ALL TIME team.

  • the baddest dude! but- what's with the crappy music? horrible.

  • The man. The Legend! No one like Payton! Those were the days!!!!

  • Simply, Sweetness.

  • 5'10" 210 at best. Not the biggest, fastest, strongest or even the quickest... But definately the best to every lace em up at the RB position. Sweetness was the COMPLETE back. Not even Mike Ditka not giving him the ball on the freakin goal line in the Superbowl could crap on his accomplishments.. Any kid who wants to tote the mail should study the greatest ever. Walter Payton..!

  • hes my favorite player

  • Greatest of ALL TIME

...Please check out my video & watch in HD

...Its nuthin long so it wont take up 2 much of ur time

  • um hello where da song at

  • why are there clips of the friken qb getting sacked and him missing the ball thats stupid

  • djames payton started playing for the Bears in 1975

  • wtf why is there a bunch of clips thrown in of other bears players getting tackled or missing passes? Kinda ruins it imo...

  • Who's more popular in this world.

Michael Jordan, Walter Payton, or Ali??

  • mj...5 rings, not to mention the olympic team rings he won. the clothing line he owns...mj by far

  • Ali by far. tribes in Africa know who Ali is. Jordan is popular but basketball is not relevant in a lot of countries. and Payton. i dont think anyone would really recognize him outside the U.S. Football is not popular at all outside of the states. I think the most popular athletes are Ali and Pele

  • chicago had jordan, payton, and sandberg at the same time for awhile.

  • Comment removed

  • jordan didnt start in 1990 WRONG

  • Sorry....djames2322........Jordan joined the Bulls in 1984......so, all three were in Chicago at the same time.

  • @djames2322 FAIL 1984 he joined the bulls

  • @jstafford81 wut in the heck i never even said that. idk how that got there i swear to god. im deleting that.

  • Even though I'm a cowboy fan till the day I died.

I use to love payton such a badass player.

  • Walter Payton isn't the Babe Ruth of football, Babe Ruth is the Walter Payton of baseball.

Walter Payton isn't the Michael Jordan of football, Michael Jordan is the Walter Payton of basketball.

    R.I.P Sweetness

  • @Walter34Sweetness You're spot on, and everybody in Chicago would agree. There wasn't a dry eye in all of Chicago the day he announced he was dying. I'm not much on celebrity hype, but I loved Sweetness.

  • @Walter34Sweetness Bryan- I WAS 6, HARD TO REMEMMBER PLAY'S . FOR ALL STRUGGLING WATCH ONE OF THE GREATEST PLOW , & FIGHT TO AND THROUGH ALL THAT CAME HIS WAY BOTH ON AND OFF THE FIELD. I STRUGGLE , I JUST PRAY I CONTINUE DA FIGHT AND AND ROLL OVER CHALLENGES TO THE... DAY I DIE. AS THE SWEETNESS DID. FROM THE NAME SAKE BRIAN PICCALO , WALTER PAYTON, & BRIAN URLACHER. I AM PROUD TO CALL MYSELF A BEARS FAN.

    NEVER DIE EASY!!!

  • @Walter34Sweetness

I think you should flip the second one

  • SO true !!!!!!!!

  • SO true !!!!!!!! walter was just a BEAST

  • Walter was elusive, powerful and always ran angry. He was a master at the lost art of the stiff arm. He was the bears offense for so long.

How good was he? He took two teams, one quaterbacked by bob avellini and the other primarily by mike phipps to the the playoffs.

    Nuff said.

  • @themick362005 HE shall rest in peace.

  • @themick362005 he never ran angry? he ran with determination

  • @itsmybunny1 read never die easy

  • @itsmybunny1 he ran with both

  • search tyler andrews

  • spaz? do you know what that means?

  • i think you prolly made an awsome vid but youtube is freakin gay and won't let us hear the music that goes with the video did you upload this on another site by chance so that i can fully appriciate your effort

  • song?

  • remember the name by fort minor

and never give in by papa roach

  • fort minor remember the name

  • He can break like crazy. lol, it's ridiculous.

  • Walter Payton spent a good 7 years running behind an awful offensive line with no quartebacks or receivers to even remotley make the defense focus on anything but walter...and he still carried the offense and set the record (at the time)! Over a 13 year career? R U kidding me? No one else will ever match what he did over the same length of time...NO ONE EVER! NEVER!

  • Barry sanders how be higher then him mah nigger. Barry had nothing if it wasnt for being drafted for the lions barry should be #1 on the list

  • OK say suething that makes sense and then I will respond! Cuz what you sais makes no fuking sense!!

  • I am from Chicago. I bleed Chicago sports.

A life time fan of Dick Buktus and Walter Payton. If the bears never win another Super Bowl I will still love them until death.

Walter Payton was the reason I even played football. RIP Sweetness

Mr. Dick Buktus, I wanted to go to CVS high school just to say I played for CVS just like Butkus did, but because of my parents divorced we move away after the 8th grade.

Dick Buktus and Walter Payton Chicago heros.

  • cheese

  • hes got a wierd deak

  • 1:30-1;50 UNREAL !! wow

  • My top 3 backs all time.....Walter Payton,Earl Campbell,John Riggins.

  • I worked at Soldier Field for 4 years and saw every game that he played during those seasons.

    I was lucky.

I also met him twice and he was a very down to Earth guy.

  • whats the name of both songs??

  • the first one is remember the name

  • I am a Redskins fan.We had Larry Brown,John Riggins etc.Walter was the best ever!SWEETNESS.

  • i want to see sean taylor and walter payton go at it

  • walter payton is great, but hes not the best of all time, BARRY SANDERS is and ADRIAN PETERSON will be. Bears blow!!

  • uh i am pretty sure Barry Sanders is not the Greatest.. Sure he was an Amazing Back one of my top 3 easily. He could of been the greatest to me if he didnt go out the way he did. Sure Adrian Peterson is a beast and he will probably be great but don't make bold predictions his career could be cut short god forbid. and btw The bears dont blow.. The Chiefs..They Blow..The fucking Lions they Blow..and The Raiders they blow..so don't talk shit like bandwagon fan would

  • You talk about Adrian Peterson being the new beast,He runs through ppl which means he will not make 10 yrs in the NFL....I tell you something else,A man by the name of EARL CAMPBELL,played for the Oilers in the 70's hit nmuch harder and ran likwe a tank,He would make Peterson look like a schoolboy!!

  • you don't actually know if he hit harder than peterson.. and besides peterson to me isnt a plow through you back he is finess and speed. now a back that will run through you Steven Jackson is that. and besides we aren' t talking about the past we are talking about the present.

  • There is and never will be a running back like Walter Payton for as long as we know not even L.T or Matt Forte

  • i wish i could of seen him play. my dad met him in real life at a golf outing

  • best nfl player ever right here

  • he was the best there ever was, and ever will be. Chicago misses you Sweetness

  • no not ture payton is the best

  • He probably was. He could run pass, catch and block. He was the best all around back to live in my opinion.
