i was there and it was terrible. i've been to all of the FM home matches and could not believe this. EVEN some of the kids from RH would not get on the bus bc they knew they had lost. The kids left in a wheel chair! The kid was ready to get back up and continue.... but then the RH coach comes along... and well we all know what happened from there. COMPLETE BS.

At 2:17 the coach tells official that the kid is done 20 seconds after he "attends" to his kid. At 2:21 the medical guy? in red seems to begin giving the "cut time" signal to the coach but stops short. Not only is this ugly wrestling for varsity, poor sportmanship by the coach, lack of mat control for the refs, but did you notice the offending coach looking at or texting on his cell phone when the match began? My son wrestles in the lower states and lets just say i have nothing to gain from my comment: From the video it looks like the kid was clearly able to wrestle and after his coach "checks" on him he suddenly is unable to wrestle. I still cringe looking at this video. Shame on the lousy refs who didn't award the FM 112 his pin and shame on RH for accepting a lame BS win. That kid could've definitely wrestled. What defines a wrestler is his inability to quit despite pain. I had issues with my leg my senior year in hs and still wrestled, happened again in college and I still fought like hell and made it to nationals. The refs should be FIRED and RH's coach should resign, I wouldn't want a coach like that influencing kids.

If a wrestler throws a legal head lock and the other wrestler causes it to turn illegal there is no penalty. The refs just stop the move. When Coach Beard told the refs his kid couldent go the refs should have raised the FM kids hand and awarded FM the win. The refs should have known that when Coach Beard said his kid couldent continue he was losing the match for his team. Besides the fact that Beard has no class the refs made a bad call and FM didnt catch it.
