Dominic Crossan comes closest to the truth, methinks. The others? ehhhhhh, not so much. I generally like Ehrman but in this case, he comes off like an academic snob. Levine is sarcastic and seems to deliberately to misinterpret the attitude of Jesus to the Jews. Jesus *was* a Jew. He was immersed in the Jewish experience. He couldn't help what happened to his message after he died.
