  • can they life in the pool?

  • @combatarms750 yes.. long enough for fisherman to catch them..

  • what shall they eat in there?

  • @wilhelmtell1000 bait.. the idea is to catch the trout and eat them..

  • That costs so much money lol

  • @theajpeezy13 Cost is offset by fees charged to get in and catch the fish.

  • i want to swim in that pool with all the fish :O that would be awesome!!!!

  • awesome.. they shold do it again :(

  • that would be cool as hell swimming in there chasing tthe fish around everywhere until you caught it whith yr bare hands awesome

  • 3:30 "...you might have wasted the last 5 minutes watching this video." SMH

  • R THEY GOING TO DO IT AGAIN THIS YEAR

  • @survivalguy69 Unfortunately no they are not doing this again this year..

  • Lol I thought trout were fragile fish who needed the most gentle touch or they'd die.

Life full of fishing taught me wrong ;D

  • that is so cool

  • So jealous! Jeez, I wish I could get in on that!

  • I once caught 80 Trout in a creek near the mountains.

  • r they all rainbows

  • @Sk8ForLife8137 yes all rainbow trout

  • 85 people are too stupid to realize the water isnt chlorinated

  • @Doct0rEVille You would be surprised how many folks don't see what's right in front of them. They will debate as to whether there is any oxygen in the air they breath..

  • I wish i had that in my public pool.

  • thats so dumb here where i fish we consider those babies...

  • @krisweezy92 well i believe there brown trout, average about 4-5 pounds, so there basically average. u also didnt specify what fish u caught so compared to a sail fish, yes there are very much so babies

  • like if you wanna fish there

  • i wanna jump on in there

  • You guys need to bring this idea over to the UK. It looks great fun!

  • get the fly rods out lol

  • How long do they stay in this pool?

  • @Dall5000 about ten days or until they are all caught..

  • How much do you think I have to pay to swim in there? btw I really want to swim there

  • asesweom

  • The ultimate fish tank

  • Thats so cool

  • This looks so fun!!!!!

  • good

  • Isn't that pool full of chlorine???

  • @cyberfoxxy1210 no chlorine, just cold winter well water and trout..

  • my daddy would like that!!

  • only americans can fill a pool up with fish and then try to catch it with rods..

    does seem fun though =P

imagine the idiot that dont catch any fish =P

  • Thats kinda an awesome idea

  • thats neat

  • thank's

  • this is a good idea to test different bait...

  • wow

  • good way to make some extra cash gonna have to do it when im older

  • Hey I am thinking of moving to texas what is the best place near a city a beach and rural areas.

    Thanks

  • @MrDuckboss That describes a good part of the Texas coast..

  • well do you know were cause I went to texas on holiday and loved it.

  • @MrDuckboss The further south you go the prettier the gulf gets so Corpus Christi would be my choice.. miles of beautiful beaches, nice size city and friendly people with more places to fish then you can shake a stick at!

  • @wbtedrick Thanks mate.

  • @wbtedrick yes chorpus is good. i go to port aransas alot and its way better then galveston.

  • @MrDuckboss I'd say Galvaston island. I live in Houston Texas right now But Galvaston is located right beside a rather dirty beach and a few miles up you can be in the city. Hope that might have helped.

  • @MrDuckboss seabrook tx 30 mins from downtown Houston . plus your close to everything else

  • what state is this in?

  • @mooslum911 College Station, Texas

  • Do you have any brown trout in your pool?

  • @MrPissfairy nope, just rainbows

  • This is BRILLIANT!!!!! ;)

  • I didnt want the video to end. Ive never seen or heard of this before. We dont do this in South Florida, but it would be lots of fun if we did. Great video.

  • @xXMiamiRedXx I suspect it doesn't get cold enough in south Florida to support trout even in the winter!

  • That's really cool. Hope all the little kids had fun catching them.

  • lets go fishing

  • I wanna go fishing

  • and do u guys let them go after or do they die?

  • @leos4life21 Any trout left in the pool after the fishing is over are netted and given away to be eaten.. very little is wasted

  • @wbtedrick oh so who ever catches the fish get to keep them thats cool but how much is it to get that many

  • @leos4life21 $3.00 entry fee for everyone ages 3 and up.

3 fish limit per person with a $1.50 charge per fish over the (3) fish limit.

  • this is so cool can u do this for me lol i live in texas and how do yall feed them this is legit

  • 3:19 EPIC JUMP! :-D

  • Really nice video man! Thanks for sharing.

  • Awful..Let them be caught and live in there natural body of water #troutstream

  • @Iowafishing101 no such thing here in Texas! Only one place in all of Texas has trout year-round, the Guadalupe river. If it were catfish instead of trout would you feel the same way?

  • to be honest i kinda wanna go swimming in there...

  • Wouldn't the Chlorine kill them?

  • @SkyScraperChan All the harmful chemicals are removed or otherwise neutralized as the pool is unused in the winter and the water is conditioned to be suitable for the trout.

  • this is sick.

  • There's no point in this. It's nothing like REAL fishing at all. There's no shelter for the fish this would basically be cheat-fishing.

  • Wonderful

  • the ultimate sight fishing challenge

  • Whats the fun of catching trout in a blue square city pool.

This is no sport, this is for all the obese americans who get stuck in the mud if they go outdoor fishing.

    Lame

  • that would be some FUN and EASY fishing!!

  • LOL I FOUND THIS SO CUTE.

  • HOW DID I GET HERE FROM MINECRAFT?!

  • oh lucky that have benn my dream in long ime =)

  • i love the moment at 2:30

  • don't you guys with the bird above that wide pool?

  • Oh how fun!! College Station isn't 'that' far from Bastrop :) Of course we would have to go by way of Brenham and visit Blue Bell too! Would be a nice afternoon outing for the kids. Are there plans for a 2012 event?

  • @GrdnovGreens I called the CS Parks department and they will not be doing the " Pool Trout Fishout" again in 2012. But if you look on the TPWD website you can find one of the many places that host the winter trout fishing program near your home..

  • how many trout are in there

  • @commenter256 TPWD stocked 1500 trout.

  • i always have wanted to stalk a pool with fish

  • Now swim with them.

  • looks like fun!!

  • Chlorine in the water would kill them right?

  • @818hyko818 Yes it would if there was any in the pool but it is not treated in the winter months and they neutralize whatever is left before the fish are added so the trout will thrive.

  • Oh man only in America! I'd love to have a go tho, ( uk lure angler )

  • ceeement xD im sorry i love your accent. also nice video kinda looks fun!

  • @lishfish101 The "cement pond" phrase comes from the Beverly Hillbillies and just shows my age ;)

  • Thats great. Id like to live in a community like that.

  • Swimming with the fishys! :D

  • i want to swim in it!

  • I want to watch some kids catchem!!!

  • What is that song?

  • @kabah088 acoustic sunrise

  • @kabah088 mac song

  • ima do that with my pool

  • at 3:03 theres a different fish

  • @ponandzi122 no, if your talking about the little guy jumping out of the water, its the same kind of fish. :) I'm pretty sure anyways.

  • haha that first bucket woulda been fun enough and fine for me!-

  • thats awesome

  • Do Bass bite this time of year in Harris County Georgia?

  • @CWilliamslll Sure do ... why do you ask?

  • Just work the weeds and drop offs. They'll be located right around the top of the drop offs or along side the weeds. Here in Iowa we got ice so its a little more tricky. In georgia you sould be fine.

  • awe-someeeeee

  • now thats alot

  • isnt it hard to net out your own fish from ur own friggin pool?????? :D SIKE!

  • have you got any footage of people who caught them?? plz upload!!

  • @davh277 Nope.. This time of year you will find me fishing for whitebass and crappie or maybe trout on the rivers throughout Central Texas.. These programs are for folks that can't get out or don't have the experience to do what a more seasoned fisherman can do and go.

  • That looks extremely fun! You know that's a good idea for poor areas with a community pool if they did that in the winter or fall months like 3 bucks for 6 fish. It would help the poor community's so much. I mean the pool is not used in the fall or winter months anyways. Very cool.

  • i wanna swim in it!!!

  • i wanna swim in that

    !!!!!!!1

  • Hahaha damn wish i could have done that as a little kid! looks like a lot of fun!

  • name music video?

  • @SkyKernel84 acoustic sunrise

  • That is one great idea to get more people to fall in love with fishing... Thumbs Up!!!

  • What was the money raised for? And it is a nice way to introduce kids into wildlife.

  • @JAF30 fees support the program and the city parks and rec department

  • this seems like it would make a good prank

  • nuts

  • What has fishing become now a days. Pathetic.

  • well is suppose it's no different to putting them in a pond for someone to pay to catch and eat them. glad the city folks get a chance to fish!

  • mmm...fish..

  • un intera piscina tutta esclusivamente per loro ,li trattate bene >D

  • why is the water is blue? and why in the swimming pool why not straight into river or lake

    every one wants freedom

  • @norbu1987 Because the pool is painted blue! This is a fishing program for city folks and a chance to catch trout for dinner. The trout will not survive in Texas waters much past March as it gets way to warm.

  • @wbtedrick >g< greeerrr

  • @wbtedrick do they get burn by the sun

  • @norbu1987

I don't think fishes are smart enough to want freedom.

  • I was born in Bryan

  • @RainCera thats my name

  • one thing i find amazing about fish is no matter how much their life is in "danger" they still manage to want to eat lol

  • @Gtrplyr1 The trout do not know they are in danger. These trout come from hatcheries, raised in raceways much like long narrow swimming pools.

  • @wbtedrick i know that, i mean it's funny how you can catch them then put them into a pool and they can still be baited again.. Not very smart animals lolo

  • Haha the first bucket dumped, the fish are like "HIIIDE hidehidehidehidehidehide..WHERE??!"

  • Just realized i live like 10 mins away from this place O.o

  • The southerners REALLY DO say 'cement pond', just like the Beverly Hillbillies!!!

  • @kdc43 Yep! and that's where I got it from.. showing my age again ;)

  • @wbtedrick I was thinking the same thing...I'm showing my age (54).

    Merry Christmas!

  • @wbtedrick un intera piscina esclusivamente per loro ,li trattate bene

  • @kdc43 Ive never heard that term and i live in texas...

  • It's really the same thing as buying it from the supermarket but you can have the fun of catching it yourself! trout=good eats

  • Heh? WASTE OF TIME? no no sir see here i like fish! :}

  • The things Rednecks do for fun....

  • well i hope the money went towards saving the environment since u used them.

  • I wanna do it! I'll do it in my pool, my mom will kill me but it'll be worth it.. :D

  • personnal hyper aquarium lol

  • D'awww. I just want to jump in and swim with them.

  • Like shooting fish in a barrel.

  • Thats a really cool thing you have going on there. Neat

  • Damn that looks like it would be fun!

Especially since you can see if a trout is nibbling on your line

  • aw, i'd love to join the fishies :P

  • Sea trout are a great sport but why dont you stock it with brownies or rainbow trout ?

  • @IRACORKMAN these are rainbow trout.

  • @wbtedrick My mistake....interesting stuff well done I suppose

  • wouldnt the chlorine kill the trout pretty quick?

  • @slightlystoopider559 The water is conditioned before the trout are added to it. Chlorine and other chemicals are neutralized several weeks in advance because the pool is not used in the winter months.

  • @wbtedrick ah makes sense ,as a joke when i was younger we added a ton of goldfish to a friends pool.we had a good laugh to see his expression,he on the other hand wasnt so amused.

  • @wbtedrick thanks for posting this; you got a thumbs up because i knew the fish didn't suffer needlessly!

  • @wbtedrick lol i was just thinkin that the chlorine would pose a problem but that makes sense

  • That's how we do it in America

  • Wow... rednecks....

  • @charlee1010 Rednecks would have their own pool stocked with bass and catfish.. this is a city folk thing..

  • @wbtedrick is it catch and release or catch and eat?

  • @PredatorTank350Liter ....Catch and eat Trout

  • Yes this is for fishing purposes only, a chance for folks that don't get to fish for whatever reason.

  • this is sooo cool man, thats awesome, was that for fishing purposes or not?
