he ain't not that good, i don't think that his 2 independent album will sold like hot cakes on amazon cause he's trully super amazing and marvellious. I was totally wowed by it. All the top 5 performances were all simply amazing, marvellous N brilliant 2 be honest and all of them can proved 2 the judges and people that they can sing the type of songs that are difficult especially singing live with the big band symphony orchestra N they sang it so fabalous, brilliant N marvellous that i think those songs the sang are so easy to sing + there were no bad, suck performances ever.
I think the only reason why he was eliminated was as i knew that most people don't like him alot N him stay in the competiton that very long. (Boo Hoo to that people, suckers!) His expectation of winning the idol N trying very very hard to be in top 4, 3 and even the finals are that the high enough. But i'm so so proud of him to be survived in top 5 N also survived lots of elimination rounds especially the 4 double eliminations that him, not that strong N powerful singer can last that long.

He transcends beautifully to the recording studio and if you listen to all of his performances but type STUDIO into the end of your search you are in for a fantastic treat. It will show you just how good this guy is. His studios are the best
Easily one of the most underrated performances in Idol history, and I say that as someone that's pretty cynical and not easily impressed. If you're a lover of good music and know this song, you'd know how creative and awesome a version of the song this is. Matt makes this very sold song sound modern and sexy. He takes it up and down, and keeps you guessing throughout the entire thing, bringing you to the edge of your seat. I challenge everyone to find other versions of this song, and return.
Obviously, you haven't heard the studio version, then. Go check it out. I think he's a great live performer, but he's even better in the studio. What he needs is to find a way to calm his nerves, on stage, get a good vocal coach, and he'll sound just as good live as he does in the studio.

I think this performance was easily the best of the night, but it was very easy to conclude that he was gone. America had already eliminated him twice before this week, and he couldn't match the fan base of any of the other remaining contestants.

it's okay for him not to win. I don't want him to be another careerless idol winner such as fantasia, ruben, taylor, jordin and the latest addition to the collection is david cook. He'll do better with another recording company rather than idol's. LOVED MATT's performances and hope he does well in the industry.
BTW, on the emotion connection thing Kara was talking about, again, Matt was easily the easiest one to indentify with and had a vulnerability about him not any of the others had or will ever had. Allison's too young to have developed her personality, Kris is genuinely boring and secretly full of himself, Danny's pretty genuine, and Adam? Well, I never got his appeal. Never. Matt will be a great recording artist, whereas someone like Adam could burn out very quickly.
I'm angry he left. The only thing I agree with any of the judges of, who'd given him a raw deal even when saving him, was that he didn't seem to believe in himself until this very last performance. I don't know what Kara was talking about, but the guy laid his heart out there, and pulled off the best performance of the night, IMO. Easily one of the more underrated contestants, ever. That performance of was a master class in how to sing a standard. The phrasing and everything.
well... I'm a west coaster so I haven't seen the results show yet but I'm sad to read that Matt is gone. :(

Fabulous rendition. This is the best of all 5 in my opinion! Jazz standard can be tasteless even a singer sang well. On the contrary even a singer sang a bit pitch, it can add unique colour to the stroke of the brush(voice). To feel it, it doesn't have to be sang with perfect pitch. He has that very special tone. I think his performance was very sophisticated.

If you had any ears, you would know that he was not only "pitchy," he never got the pitch at all. He went all the way around it. Any good singer knows that you sing the first verse "straight" so that you can communicate the melody.

even david cook sounds better on record, people. people listen more at home than watch performances. so, it's good that matt is undoubtedly sexy, suave, velvety smooth, amazing on studio. i'll listen to him while driving, working, relaxing....and nobody this season needs my votes, so, i'll just wait for the finale, to see matt again...:D

I think this performance was easily the best of the night, but it was very easy to conclude that he was gone. America had already eliminated him twice before this week, and he couldn't match the fan base of any of the other remaining contestants.

it's okay for him not to win. I don't want him to be another careerless idol winner such as fantasia, ruben, taylor, jordin and the latest addition to the collection is david cook. He'll do better with another recording company rather than idol's. LOVED MATT's performances and hope he does well in the industry.

BTW, on the emotion connection thing Kara was talking about, again, Matt was easily the easiest one to indentify with and had a vulnerability about him not any of the others had or will ever had. Allison's too young to have developed her personality, Kris is genuinely boring and secretly full of himself, Danny's pretty genuine, and Adam? Well, I never got his appeal. Never. Matt will be a great recording artist, whereas someone like Adam could burn out very quickly.

I'm angry he left. The only thing I agree with any of the judges of, who'd given him a raw deal even when saving him, was that he didn't seem to believe in himself until this very last performance. I don't know what Kara was talking about, but the guy laid his heart out there, and pulled off the best performance of the night, IMO. Easily one of the more underrated contestants, ever. That performance of was a master class in how to sing a standard. The phrasing and everything.

But seriously, this song almost makes me cry every time I hear it. Matt, you have a gift and I really wish Kris would've gone instead of you. But don't worry, it doesn't end here. AI opens doors and chances are, you'll get a record deal because you are amazing!

Look, people, they're all great talents, probably the best top 5 in idol history! Matt leaves with his head held high, Simon called him brilliant! Matt has no reason to regret, no reason to fret. He had wonderful experiences on AI. Compared to other 5th placers, he is worthy of the title. He just needs to believe in himself. He could be greater than the winner, for all we know. I believe in him!!! It's not about winning, it's what happens after the season/show that counts. Go, Giraud!!!

Fabulous rendition. This is the best of all 5 in my opinion! Jazz standard can be tasteless even a singer sang well. On the contrary even a singer sang a bit pitch, it can add unique colour to the stroke of the brush(voice). To feel it, it doesn't have to be sang with perfect pitch. He has that very special tone. I think his performance was very sophisticated.

If you had any ears, you would know that he was not only "pitchy," he never got the pitch at all. He went all the way around it. Any good singer knows that you sing the first verse "straight" so that you can communicate the melody.

I just adore this guys wonderful voice. If you know Jazz and the sharps,flats peaks and troughs that made it so cool, you will know that MATT can do this fantastically. He is a star waiting to be born and America is just beginning to realise it !!
