@Sagramorbald well I do agree about having new MMOs provide their own unequal fell but the basics are important because without first setting the basics of MMOs today the game can not begin to develop into becoming unequal. Still space combat now may seem uninteresting but don't forget they still need time to make this system seem more interesting and fun for others. I'm curious to see how they may incorporate this space combat system for PvP but this may not happen for a while.

I do like the look of this, but Jump to Lightspeed in SWG was a lot better and allowed for more freedom which is needed in a game like this. Being on rails in space just irks me and takes away the sense of space flight. I would hope for a larger variety of ships and maybe a space-flight system like the X series.

One thing that is important to keep in mind, is that there are only a couple of original missions. i think it's three. After that the missions just get recycled and difficulty heightened.

o you just wait till 45-50 for hard missions :) there are several 8 min in lenght and the sistem gets more complex whit the on use mods that you can buy for space combat commendations and for lvling and alts the xp gain is realy good

If there was free roaming in space and PVP fleet combat it would just be EVE Online with planetside areas which EVE are supposedly implementing in an upcoming expansion (still rumours but you never know). Pazaak is a cool little card mini-game from the first KOTOR game (was it in the second one? Somebody else can tell you if so).

It was a little gambling mini-game and most people quite liked it, myself included. Lots of people were hoping they'd put into this game as well, but atm...seems not.

I also mentioned this in my video of the space combat system, that SWTOR has a powerful system from which they can expand and most of the things you mention here is quite likely to happen just because they planned around this, I cannot see WoW succeed implementing "mounted warfare" beyond what they currently have without having to rewrite their entire engine, they sure have the money. but it is more a question of it being a worthwhile investment for them.

@Tzenjin And on the subject of too much to ask for. Let me direct you to the biggest selling game types. MMO itself, you can go anywhere, you're not on rails. Minecraft, not only can you go anywhere, you can build anything. MW3, go anywhere and kill anything. The Sims, make anything, do anything you can dream up. you seeing a trend here? :) Nowhere in the halls of greatness are shooters on rails, or in fact, anything on rails. Except in kids casual games which is what this is right now.

There actually are Hotkeys involved, just in the later levels of equipment.

I know one equipment that has 1 and 2

when you press 1. You activate higher Damage with your Main fire, but lower shield regenaration

and 2. Your Shield regenerates faster and you deal less damage.
