here in australia we have the ford falcon, runs the same 5.4 litre V8 minus the supercharger. pumps out about 315KW. i always read comments about americans saying they wish they had car's like the ford falcon GT in america, you dont need them when you's have he ford GT, those GT's shred them. FORD MUCSLE ALL THE WAY. if u wana see some ford V8's in australia type in ford FPV GT, or back in 2001 ford australia built a 5.6L windsor that sounds awesome, type in ford TE50 for those

thats actually a big misconception the only thing identical is the displacement. the pickups use an iron block/aluminum head 5.4 SOHC 24V V8 where the GT supercar uses an all aluminum DOHC 32V8. in stock form the GT's engine has been known to hold over 1000hp, reliably without having to bother with stronger internals...but certainly a dam good engine indeed

Actually Ford stopped making it because they only made a super car in the first place to show the world they could do it. They wanted to make car's for everyone to afford and the super car wasn't the way forward. They mostly made it to piss the super car makers off, and may i say they did it big time. If a company like Ford could do it why are the other super car makers so special. You gotta admit they did a bloody good job in making a mighty fine car that is still hard to beat today.
