this are the two cams Im debating on. Im really just looking for the best picture. Im not looking to be a pro. So does the 24 mbit rate really matter ? then the sonys 16mbit rate thanks

I'm editing with Adobe now. There's a definite improvement with sharpness, detail and colour, but it's difficult to find a setting that gives smooth running footage. It's very choppy.

No semblance of a high definition video. Something wrong with the settings probably. Other S11 videos you can see elsewhere are truly high definition.

Seems like there went something wrong while encoding ? There shouldn't be black bars to the left and right.

Got the HF S10 and the results are much better.

I think it's to do with the OEM software - which is pretty useless. Gradually sorting myself out with other options...
