It's not like there where battles going on on a weekly basis. Sorry but I believe FOX justed screwed the pooch on this one. Should've waited til after baseball season to start it, actually advertise for it, run it proper order beginning with the pilot and keep it on same night and time. That's what ruined the show and why it was cancelled. Last I checked renting some horses and cows didn't cost all that much. Not trying to be rude, just don't agree w/ur excuse of FOX.
Fox is a bunch of money grubbing bastards. Why keep the copyright if your not going to make something out of it. The Simpsons seems to have been right about Fox. They revive a failing show like Family Guy THREE times and do nothing for this show.
As soon as they saw those high DVD sales they should have reinstated it like they did with Family Guy THREE times. Instead they made a movie(though awesome) which pretty much closed the door on any future shows.
The FOX network never uses its TV shows right, first of all they aired the Firefly episodes in the wrong order cuz " they liked it the second before the first" and all that. Next they aired it the wrong times and days. The only two shows they had right was House and 24 and that was on accident. If Joss Whendon would have presented to SciFi, they would have done at least three seasons because we all know the first season are always shifty.
Firefly has everything. Great characters, music, action and an awesome story! Really sad that people prefer to watch shit like Jersey Shore instead of this. Throw them to the reavers.
It was the most original sci-fi concept in decades. And one of the best Tv shows ever. I'm a BSG fan but if i had to choose, i'd choose Firefly without hesitation. I miss Whedonverse.

@patty1947 I think they actually kept it open because there is no need to shut it down, not because ''perhaps they want to make another movie''. Its part of the meaning of the show. Theyre a tight crew and theyre doing a daily business just like you and me :).

@patty1947 Also, Adam Baldwin who played Jayne is on "Chuck" right now. Summer Glau guest-starred on it the other night and it was awesome. She's got a new show called "The Cape" coming out in January (I loved her in the Terminator show!).

It's not like there where battles going on on a weekly basis. Sorry but I believe FOX justed screwed the pooch on this one. Should've waited til after baseball season to start it, actually advertise for it, run it proper order beginning with the pilot and keep it on same night and time. That's what ruined the show and why it was cancelled. Last I checked renting some horses and cows didn't cost all that much. Not trying to be rude, just don't agree w/ur excuse of FOX.

Fox is a bunch of money grubbing bastards. Why keep the copyright if your not going to make something out of it. The Simpsons seems to have been right about Fox. They revive a failing show like Family Guy THREE times and do nothing for this show.

As soon as they saw those high DVD sales they should have reinstated it like they did with Family Guy THREE times. Instead they made a movie(though awesome) which pretty much closed the door on any future shows.

The FOX network never uses its TV shows right, first of all they aired the Firefly episodes in the wrong order cuz " they liked it the second before the first" and all that. Next they aired it the wrong times and days. The only two shows they had right was House and 24 and that was on accident. If Joss Whendon would have presented to SciFi, they would have done at least three seasons because we all know the first season are always shifty.

It was the most original sci-fi concept in decades. And one of the best Tv shows ever. I'm a BSG fan but if i had to choose, i'd choose Firefly without hesitation. I miss Whedonverse.

I'd love to see this revived, but with the way 'Serenity' ended... It just wouldn't be the same. Unless the new directors called Serenity an offshoot and started straight on from the last episode. =D
