@punk4561 it was more or less one dudes studio "project", they may have one or two obscure gigs in the early day, but its pretty much thought that they never played live
OF COURSE THIS IS BATHORY! this is live at Roskilde festival in 1996! *stupid fuckheads* how can anybody even THINK of this crap-shit in the same thought as Bathory? if you are a Bathory-fan, you know all the history. to me this is as bad as Twilight of the gods, the coverband. hail to them for honouring B & Q but still, i don´t like the way their doing it.
Sometimes the internet go backs to the 80s, where the most weird metalheads shared tapes with other weird metalheads from every side of the world. The problem were the usual fake tapes.
If this is or was bathory it would be wow! Well we all have to dream of what there concerts would be like! This song is insane and before the part where the solo comes in jeeze it would be badass stage diving jumping around to the beat! Best bathory song no doubt!
I wish this was Bathory playing this instead of some mystery band. When I talked to Boss (aka Quorthon's father. I met him at the Blackmark booth at Wacken '07. He wanted to talk to me because I have the Bathory logo tattooed across my back) he said he doesn't think there's is any recording of Bathory playing live. Too bad. I'd give me left testicle to hear/see that.
@DeathandBlack666 If you knew anything about Bathory, you'd know the first four (first three in particular) are Black Metal. Ace practically created the genre. Hammerheart (the fifth record) is the first Epic Metal album.
@DeathandBlack666 Well after Hammerheart and Twilight of the Gods (6th album), Bathory created two thrash albums, another album in the vein of Hammerheart / Twilight of the Gods, another thrash / black album and his last two albums were back on the "epic" vein again.
I've got this bootleg also. There's another bootleg also called "The True Black Essence". Hammergoat is a little bit more hard to come by. Great post.
@illinoisanthunder I've got the bootleg. But that's not the point, according to Quorton Bathory only played live in the rehearsal studio and definatly not more than 10 times live in 1983. Call From The Grave was written in 1986, therefore making it impossible have been performed in '83.
@illinoisanthunder Yeah, there's alot of those retards out there. But the ponit is that this is not Bathory and I know that. That's all that matters to me in the end of the day.
@illinoisanthunder Well the Bathory bootlegs are mostly retarded, with so-called "demos" and "advance tracks" which are clearly just the versions taken from the albums, Jubileums or Scandinavian Metal Attack samplers but intentionally filtered with shit quality to disguise them
@illinoisanthunder there's no way this could be Dark Funeral! The cover by Dark Funeral war recorded with Emperor Magus Caligula on vocals and this isn't him! he doesn't sound at all like that crap and I'm sure it's not Bathory!
haha is'nt bathory ^^

This isn't Bathory. The death metal vocals are a give away that it's another band. Plus they play the song badly.
