This song was ahead of Madonna's "In This Life" by several years, and it's kind of corny, but I still appreciate that artists like he and Prince at least tried to understand what it was like.
this is such a great song, i was young when the video came out, but ya I remember thats when the AIDS virus came out and it was taboo to talk about it, ole Sananda was riskay-good vid, great song!
wow this song and video is deep! the girl is struggling at 2:50 because she is caught in the middle of a triangle. He only loves Billy but he is not ready to face that life or give himself completely. he also has feelings for the girl but Billy is always there. So sad that Billy dies but atleast he was there for Billy
Couldn't help but notice: The tombstone at the end of the video reveals Billy's last name is DIGG. He was born N 1964 & died N 1989. The surname DIGG reminds me of the DIGGS Art Gallery on the campus of Winston-Salem State University. While it's attached to the O'Kelly Library, patrons of the Forsyth County Library could borrow Terrence Trent D'Arby's "Neither Fish Nor Flesh" from the main branch on 5th street in 1990. What if Billy had been cast a Puerto Rican who took excellent care of teeth?

Sananda did what he did, critics and record sales be damned. Gotta love that.

This is such a great song, I especially love that piece between 2:50 and 3:00 minutes.

Sananda was too far ahead of his time for us lowly folks. :( What a great song and lesson for us.
