Actually, I've found ever since Office 2010 and Windows 7 Microsoft has done an incredible job with their "Help" sections of their various programs. "Help" becomes even more 'helpful' when you permit it to search online also.

It helps if you point to a specific area when you say MS needs to "step up your game" so readers/watchers here know what to watch out for and so Microsoft knows what to improve upon. As I stated before, I didn't feel Office 2003's Help was at all helpful but I now feel confident pointing people new to the product or version to the help section and often get positive feedback.

I've been meaning to ask? How does Microsoft intend to compete with a powerful "new" enemy called Google?(The Windows vs. Android battle commences!) And about windows 8, you know that you're kind of ruining the windows style right? It's not even windows! It's just apps! (what an overused term...) Why are you ripping off Android and iOS? Can't you just make something a little more original?

@9000failurez First, they've been competing using the windows phone 7 and other products. Secondly, windows 8 clearly has a "desktop" tile, allowing you to switch back to the old interface. Non-widescreen monitors will use the classic windows UI by default, and you could use the UI's separately. Finally, windows didn't rip off anybody. They are not apps, they are tiles, and Microsoft has had that idea since before the iPad. They're just late to releasing ideas, as they once said.

@majikman1234 you don't know ANYTHING about windows 8. Did you even watch a video? You can easily use the interface with a keyboard and mouse, it's faster and easier than other versions, and you can even switch back to the old interface. Additionally, those are live TILES, not apps. they work differently, do different things, and can be handier than simple "apps". Also, I don't know where you got the idea that windows doesn't save your settings. Why wouldn't ANY os do that?

I don't think that's a good thing!?!

In my experiences, Microsoft's answers are to not have the information online, and require you to call a customer service centre in India where you're on hold for hours and you can't understand anything said, and there's enough wrong with the products that you need questions answered.

If you go on the MS Q&A forums, the majority of questions aren't answered.

I prefer MS to apple, but srsly
