  • Most men bridge at the Eb above middle C. The best way 2 access this is 2 back off the sound and transition from chest to mix at Eb. By going back & forth over the bridge with less volume but closed vocal chords you shud be able to smooth it out. Eventually you'll be able 2 add more volume as your chords become more coordinated & the bridge will become seamless. I've sung professionally for over 20 years and been a student of Speech Level Singing for 10. I am a voice teacher as well.

  • The reason you get comments that contradict each other is because everyone has different terms for different coordinations. People don't know how to define terms and what they mean, and so 3 people may each have a different definition of "chest and falsetto." You'd be better off getting a good teacher who can show you so you can hear what things sound and feel like. It's helped me a lot.

  • I went through this about 15 years ago, with songs into the high B area, with the "chest" voice break at F/F# as you describe. Remember that your Chest voice splits into THREE parts after the F/F# - falsetto, full-voice, and mixed voice. When moving above F/F#, you should BRIDGE the sound above the soft pallete and remain in full voice. Think of the sound projecting directly out of the top/tip or your nose notes upto Bb. The two registers will overlap.

  • dude, I just make a video for u, you can watch it.

  • guys, u dun need to swtich. there is no gap btw them. : ) hope this can help

  • At first the sound will be curious ,but ifyou can stretch your cords at this level , the rest of the program will be ok ,otherwise you 'll be confused and unable to mix . Listen to my exemples of vocal range , maybe you 'll find a part of the answer

  • Hi,one teacher taught me SPEECH LEVEL , tenyears ago , there was a lot ofmysteries around the head voice , i was confused ,HEAD VOICE is a plain voice in the high notes and take place in the nose , FALSETTO is the breathy part , taking place in the back of your head , when u practice exercices NEY NEY , be sure you reach head voice the lowest in the scale as possible around C .

  • just too add, try transitioning into ur head register lower in ur range around the B or Bb, this will get u into that "mix" that everyone wants

  • i think ur main problem here is when u should "switch" to the higher (head) voice...you shouldnt switch, its not an instant thing. Everything should blend neatly in together, u might find you can push ur chest voice up to an E without strain, but its still not healthy cos ull end up needing to break into ur head voice, so in terms ur carrying too much "weight" up into ur higher range which makes ur head voice transition more noticable

  • there are many myths when it comes to singing. it hard to figure out witch is truth and witch is false i had this problem for many months. it seems like in all your video's theres no Mix register just head, chest and falsetto. i may have posted the same advice but the best way to find that mix voice is to do the very dopey "mum mum mum mum" scales. make sure to do it very quietly not softly but very quietly. if that fails theres all ways the handy dandy lip roles try using the same technique.

  • Hey it's Jesse from singing success.. I offered to give you free phone advice and dropped you my number in a message a few minutes ago.. Please give me a call and let's get your break smoothed out and give you those high notes!

  • i congratulate you on bringing up and being honest about this difficult problem with the voice your real question is what is connection and how to connect the voice all the vocal exercises wont get you there my friend!. Its a much deeper question !the voice does not stand alone it will always want to disconnect and always will!! if your mind and heart are not focused on what you need to focus on!just a few thoughts!

  • STOP SCALES when YOU FEEL STRAINING YOURSELF.

FOR CONNECTING DO NEI, NEI, NEI(NAY)SCALES.

    AND MUM, MUM, MUM SCALES.

GI, GI, GI, GI and GU GU GU and GO GO GO.

IMPORTANT!!!ALL SOUNDS have to be done with a dumm sound (IF YOU SAY UHHHHHHHH...you hear this dumm sound, its for to stop your larynx from to go higher in the higher notes.)

SO when you go higher you should make a holoer sound(more dumm sound).

    (but not in NEY NEY)

    I recommend you SINGERS ADVANTAGE

    (SLS-SPEECH LEVEL Singing)

    (EBAY)

  • HERES the TRUTH!!!!!!!!(!!!PART1!!!!)

you have chest voice, head voice and between that to the MIDDLE voice. The trick is that the larynx has to be relaxed for to connect the chest voice to the middle voice and for to connect middle voice to your head voice, so there are two beaks/points you have to connect(IF YOU CAN DO THAT YOU HAVE NO SWITCH BETWEEN THE VOICES AND IT SOUNDS LIKE ONE VOICE.!!!)

  • Because the chest and head voices have different sounds, it depends on the style you want to perform in where you change from chest to head or vice versa. As you asked, I went to the Royal College Of Music in London, England, I am a concert pianist and teacher. I have also been doing Singing Success.

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • I would say it is good that you have found where your break naturally occurs. As long as you know in which key the song you are singing, then for now you will know where to control this. After a while you will have the kind of control in your voice that will mean you can switch from chest to head on any key and not worry about where you switch.
