@catbearlol retarded? no, inanimate object will not have human behaviour, The metal atoms position will change. When heat increases, the barrel increase in size (atomic level) however, if you cool it down too rapidly, the atom will stay seperated, this will cause premature failure.

I don't think it matters whether it shoots 5.56 or 7.62. If you're on the wrong end of that gun, with that rate of fire, you're going down, no questions asked. What surprised me was how stable the platform was. It looks to be pretty accurate from a standing position.

It doesn't matters. The MG4 is an additional weapon for infantry support in the German Army to the MG3 wich is actually in 7.62. The problem with the MG3 is that it is pretty big and has to be operated by at least 2 soldiers, the MG4 only by one.
