  • @Mrkozanli he got shot in the shoulder and if you could read the captions at the end, it explains that he and his family escaped to Hong Kong safely.

  • I. Fucking. LOVE. This. Movie. I don't care if your racist, you're gonna F*ckin' cheer for Master Ip Man when he kicks the shit outta that arrogant son of a bitch American/Foreigner. (I'm American btw)

  • Melhor filme que ja vi de kung fu.

    Loved it

  • go Chen Zhen!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol funny thing... bruce lee has muscles and is ip man's student therefore he would be the ultimate fighter

  • THE ENDING OF THE VIDEO HAD ME WEAK HE STOPED THEN SMACKED HIM HARD LOL

  • anderson silva vs ip man

  • boxing vs kung fu???? you must be fucking joking

  • Foreign Devil have too much pride

  • @lilaznhermkid yup and even today they are still continue to harass and destroying other people lands

  • Can a boxer with boxing technique and strength, really beat a martial artist, with perphaps not as much strength, but a lot of technique?

  • @lordportico Possible but not probable.... Prime Ali and Tyson might have a chance.

  • @lordportico strength = matter, technique = mind...mind over matter

  • @lordportico i say 50-50 but there is alot of factors, such as is the martial artist a master or is the boxer a champion? its really hard to say :/

  • I Laughed at the Last Part. Lmfao!

  • CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!!

  • the trailer gives too much

  • boxing and mix martial art are the same they were not meant to be sport they were meant to defend, kill or really injured a person, when your int he ring boxer would be in an advantage, but if it was out side it be a difference story, and plus if believe it is the individual that bring out martial arts potential so, labeling which is better is a waste of time

  • I used to box and from my experience of myself and friends in mixed martial arts tournaments, boxing comes out on top often (not always). Many martial arts are based on the mindset of taking your opponent down quickly, boxers are trained to last 10-15 rounds getting punched in the face and ribs. Longevity is really one of the best reasons to learn how to box.

Of course this is when it comes to "black belts", that made up term with no standard. Not masters of a martial arts.

  • ip man 4 / 2011 watch?v=dGvEGklrW4A

    ......like

  • the boxer in this vid is a racist

  • Someone who hasn't seen it might think: The best scenes in the TRAILER? I can only say: Those are the weak ones. The best is in the movie.

  • 2:05 funny as hell XD

  • second half of this movie was crap - as soon as the bad actor - the british boxer came into it.

  • is that Agent Smith from The Matrix?

  • Yip Man is a legend in Martial Arts, but all his movie are all amazing!! Thank him for sharing around the world Wing Chun…RESPECT ^_~

  • YEAH CANTONESE finally

  • After watching it with friends a 2nd time, this movie is not bad. However, the first one is Epic. 1st one: The bad guy General was awesome and a great villain. Japan vs China epic. Ip man fighting 10 Japanese, epic. 2nd one, I still can't get over fighting a boxer, who can't kick and is wearing boxing gloves......come on, plus the plot sucked, I think it was made more for popularity and kids. No wonder Donnie Yen quit. It wasn't bad, but still no where near as good as #1.

  • man they gotta advertise this movie more. for ppl who likes martial arts movie in the west and only know movies like the forbidden kingdom they are seriously missing out

  • @FKillerDog i think there is a planned production of ip man 3 but its not gonna feature donnie yen, sadly :(

  • Yeah! the british Boxer plays Kano in Mortal Kombat Legacy! Sweet!

  • @OctaneJunkies mortal kombat legacy? is that a new upcoming movie?

  • @go555ace Nope. It is a web series here on you tube by Machinima Check it out its really good!

  • i hate that fucking boxer

  • @brendaenriquez94 Yeah, me too.

  • @brendaenriquez94 yeah he was a d-bag in the movie

  • @go555ace Yeah, he was a d-bag in the movie but I think the biggest d-bag in the movie was the british general. He's racist and talks shit but can't let his body do the talking. At least this boxer tried to prove it with his body.

  • @PoKeRFoRNiA yeah true

  • MMA need to have a mascular.... but in wing chun you don't need to build up your muscle....if i choosing a martial arts? i will chose wing chun why? i think wing chun is the very unique and fastest martia arts ever.........

  • this guy is insane!

  • @HenchAzn I am Asian. And it's not really disgracing any Asians.

  • This movie is beastmode. Fight scenes are epic.

  • S.W.A.G.- Something We Asians Got

  • Wong Leung is the original wong shun leung??

  • @EarendurTelemnar l0l thats kool then

  • I doubt any of those "dancers" had a chance against an MMA Pro fighter!

  • @Bommelmensch of course they wouldnt stand a chance fool...martial arts is mainly for exercise and entertainment and such...just stop being a douche and enjoy the movie

  • @Bommelmensch Man i love you .... and die in hell REALLY dancers .. I don't know you but if you are a rookie in MMA and train for it which i doubt you still have respect ... I bet some pro MMA respect it cause there not douches and as finalfreak17 said just enjoy the movie

  • @Bommelmensch wing chun martial artist is actually capable in a fight, calling them dancers would just be disrespectful. i do respect MMA and yes lots of MMA fighters today are incredibly strong so even a master like Ip Man will have trouble with really strong MMA fighters.

  • 4 people were british

  • Comment removed

  • I'd LOVE to be ripped like the boxer in Ip Man 2!

  • donnie yen's 47 and he's still doing parkour like a 16 year old...

  • Is this english DUBBED or NOT.. the first one was and I LOVED THE MOVIE..

Hope this one is good as first one!

  • @Bk94541 yeah it became english dubbed, dont know when but I have the movie XD

  • @waalex11

Ya U right..i have netflix..after this tralier then i saw the first one and LOVED it & was Dubbed.. i called the customer service they told me is english dubbed..so i got it & watched it...

DAMN WAS SOOO GOOD ..GREAT KICK ASS MOVIES..I love the camera shorts & marsal arts

    SUUPERR! :)

    Anyway thanks for replay :)

  • @Bk94541 seriously, loved both movies of Ip Man.

  • im watching the movie now.

    The first one was good

The actress playing his wife is cute

  • wow this is awesome!

  • "thumbs up if you didn't need subtitles!" is what i really wanted to say, but i didn't want to be a thumbsupwhore...

    -ohgod-

  • Donnie Yen is beastly...you gotta check out the movie The Return of Chen Zhen, hes fricken beast, but just uses a different style of martial arts in it.

  • They are both amazing!

  • I saw Ip Man ( 1st ) last night and I am positive that he died in the end, so how is this a sequel. I love Donnie Yen as a martial artist and actor, but am confused as If this is a true continuation or what ?

  • @mrdefkon1 no he flees to hong kong after killing the general he survives the shot

  • @RjEatsDogs by "killing the general" do you mean beat the crap out of or actually killing him? Cause I don't think the general actually died, he was just ...done!

  • @mrdefkon1 yes it is. because at the end of ip man 1 it says that he managed to escape with his wife and kids and imagrates to Hong Kong so this shows what happens when he gets there.

  • @mrdefkon1 Someone didn't watch the movie till the very end.

  • @mrdefkon1 At the very end of Ip Man ,it explains that he survived....so you didnt watch it until the end.

  • @mrdefkon1 It's based on true story. Yip Man died at age 70+ or somethin' by Throat Cancer. So u imagine that Yip Man was still very much young at the first film. So u can't announced him "dead" at the end, 'cuz his not

  • Bruce Lee's Teacher.. Teacher !!!

  • @FKillerDog well donnie yen :P my comment is three months old man xD you need to get a hobby

  • Man they beat the crap out of LP man in this movie!!! I though I would never see it!!! But!!!! Hey!!!! Can't all be easy!!!

  • this has to be one of the best martial arts films ive ever seen in my life. to the people who have seen this movie, you have to admit the ending was epic as shit. im not gonna spoil it.

  • no YouPee MAN!

  • Donnie Yen was born for this role. Awesome actor and an amazing tribute to the grandmaster.

  • Just Watched It, Probably the saddest, best, and awesomest movie I have ever seen.

  • Worst film ever made. Worst script. Worst acting. Fight scenes a cartoon. Forget it, its a Vido game with about as much depth.

  • @Andyfreedom1 Fuck You

  • @Andyfreedom1 Yeah, your right. I agree..... with absolutely NOTHING you said. What do you know about the content of the movie anyway -_-

  • Wing Chun would never lose to Western Boxing. I love the first Ip Man and Donnie Yen but this one is trash. It is a fucking joke to make Wing Chun look so weak for the sake of the plot. I mean Wing Chun is designed for real life survival and Western boxing is a FUCKING SPORT made for entertainment.

Real Ip Man would finish any Western Boxer in no more than 3 moves. WSL would finish a boxer even faster.

Wing Chun is for REAL LIFE. Boxing for for show.

  • @Shaolinkungfucat actually that is quite ignorant. i think this movie tried to make a realistic match up between a wing chun master and a top class boxer. all martial arts has their advantages IMO and boxing is no different. boxers can probably knock the living daylight out of you and me with a a few good punches. the hand speed of boxers can be just as fast as wing chun but they just don't have as many variations as wing chun ( and wing chun uses legs too :) )

  • @go555ace Boxers most likely have more raw endurance, they can relatively absurd amounts of punishment, because they block, or take it. Their speed lies in their ability to continue and punch until anything in front of them counts as mashed potatoes. Wing Chun is much more graceful, flowing. Speed and strength, but they dodge instead of tank it. It would honestly depend mostly on the skill of the combatants more than any grand "betterness"

  • @Shaolinkungfucat: I think you're right. I pity the decision of the director to make Wing Chun look so weak for the plot.

  • @Shaolinkungfucat I really appreciate how you said that, and I agree totally with what you said.

  • @Shaolinkungfucat So are you telling me that any WC fighter can take down Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Wladimir Klitschko, Jack Dempsey, Manny Pacquiao, etc? Stop dickriding WC. It's not the art that's superior. It's the PRACTITIONER ffs. Did you even learn anything from Ip Man movies? When Jin gets his ass kicked at Ip Man's place and admits defeat by saying "Today, Northern first lost to Southern fist." Ip Man immediately disagrees and says skills lie within the individual, not the art.

  • @Shaolinkungfucat Bruce lee (student of ip man) even said boxing was a very formidable martial art. And a boxer in top fighting shape and technique could easily hold his own in a fight/bout against Chinese martial arts. They are called MARTIAL ARTS. the art of fighting... And they are all equally harmful/deadly in their own ways. Wing chun can be incredibly fast and flexible, boxing can be incredibly fast and powerful, both styles require intense discipline, physically and mentally.

  • @Shaolinkungfucat Dude a guy that is THAT BUILT would do pretty well.

It's just the kicking where boxing would totally fall apart.

  • @MrSneakmind Not necessarily true. As much as boxers don't use kicks, their punches and their hands are lot more second nature than any other fighting sport that becomes their shield and a weapon. Muhammad Ali proved it by sparring against Davis Miller, a professional kickboxer. Although he wasn't the top kickboxer, he was still at professional level. Regardless, Ali just took few hits from his kicks but knocked him out cold with two perfect punches. Boxers have good footwork too.

  • @Shaolinkungfucat Yes, boxing doesn't even incorporate legs. Any martial art that uses kicks would KO a western boxer in one second. Most mma knockouts are from kicks.

  • @15089643 This clearly shows your inexperience in martial arts or fighting sport. Perhaps, you should check out a match Ray Mercer, WBO Heavyweight champion and Olympics Boxing Gold Medalist, vs Tim Sylvia, 2006 UFC Heavyweight Champion.

I train in Muay Thai but I sure as fuck cannot guarantee myself that I'll beat a boxer in a real fight. Most mma knockouts are from kicks? HAHAHA, please tell me you're joking. Most mma knockouts are either KOs from punches or locks/chokes/submissions by ground

  • @Shaolinkungfucat Saying boxing is for show is a pretty fucking ignorant thing to say, tool!

  • @Shaolinkungfucat This.If you apply RULES to wing chun....it's not Wing Chun anymore...you can't brake anyone's leg in boxing.In the streets....anything goes.

  • @Shaolinkungfucat Twister was not a pure boxer. The fights show he counters kicks & tripping easily, and grapples too. His main experience was in boxing, and was called a 'boxer' for lack of a better word in 19thC Britain, but his personal style was clearly not pure boxing.

  • @Shaolinkungfucat If that were even remotely true the majority of boxing champions would also be Wing Chun masters. The styles are completely different & boxers don't necessarily reside only in the ring. When a boxer takes their gloves off to fight, I don't care what style of fighting you're skilled in; you better not underestimate them as an opponent or you could wake up in the ER with a severe case of you -got- your-ass-kicked-itus

  • @Shaolinkungfucat Since when a Martial Arts called BOXING is for show? Boxing & Wing Chun are basically, a MARTIAL ARTS, and it's NOT JUST for show. It's for you're so-called REAL LIFE. And it's not for ENTERTAINMENT either. Don't look by the viewers point of view; look by the PARTICIPANTS view. For them, it's to test how STRONG they HAVE after all they're trainings, for the sake of their LIVES.

    You're just basically a noob gamer that's just KNOW-IT-ALL -__-

  • press 8 for a british punch in the face

  • Comment removed

  • @tramdr if i remember right, twister is the world champion heavy-weight boxer in this film. Not just an american boxer (he's Britain btw)

  • I don't like these subs. They're all wrong. :(

  • i love ip man 1 is much better...especially general miura...he is too hot! twister kind of reminds me of colonel sato from ip man 1 they don´t have respect for anybody! except miura who was a very honorable kid.

  • I bought the Blu-Ray and was disappointed. #1 was great, and my favorite Karate movie, however 2 is OK, but no where as good as 1 on many levels. The bad guy (though his acting was good) is a boxer???? REALLY!!!!! Doesn't compare to the bag guy in 1, the Japanese army guy. The plot sucks compared to 1. Instead of China vs occupying Japan, China vs an american boxer???? really. ..and he even fights with the boxing gloves on. Nice lol. I see why Donnie Yen quit after this. Peace

  • @tramdr

I agree but you're being kind. It suck to high heaven. Worst film I 've seen in years. And the boxer's a Brit not a Yank by the way.

  • @tramdr lol its funny my friend also said the 1st one was better but really i liked the 2nd one because there was alot of action. the plot may be shallower than the 1st if thats what u mean because china's hate toward japan during wwII was strong and the first movie sort of brought japans imperialism into justice in the form of a martial art fight. however i really think this ones plot isn't bad. its sad and had a good load of butt kicking martial art action

  • @tramdr Here's your problem:

#1. It's not a Karate, it's Wing Chun, one of Kung Fu fighting style or some sort, a Chinese martial art. Karate is Japanese, so it's totally different.

#2. What's the problem of the boxer being the bad guy? It's TRUE STORY. Can you deny a history? :(

#3. Again, the plot is ALSO based on True Story. Can you deny a true story? :(

#4. Donnie Yen doesn't quit; It's the last movie. Why should Yen quit just because he must use a gloves anyway -_-"

  • @orihalchon my problem? wow.

Ummm I'm just a Movie and semi karate fan and stated my unprofessional humble opinion on it. I am 50, grown, life is good and I do not have problems. It is just a slightly interesting discussion to me that will not make or break my day either way. However, IMHO: 1. When I say 'Karate' this is an all inclusive word for any martial arts movie or style. I do not care if it is Wing Chun, Karate, Kung Fu, Aikido, Capoeira, Kick Boxing, Judo, or whatever

  • @tramdr

    Karate is Japan.

  • @orihalchon #2 + #3 IMHO to me boxing is a SPORT that I like, NOT a self defense Fighting method. Boxing to me is like Football, a great aggressive sport to watch. When I first saw Ip 1, I did a little reading on the history.....which many claim is debatable aka hype. I have no problem with it whether true or not, I don't really care. #4 Its not the last movie. They made a prequel already and Yen quit. said he had enough and there are other stories out there.... you do your homework

  • @tramdr Well, forgive me if i'm being to stubborn to debate, and luckily, i have work done my homework, thx. So now, i can conntinue.

Yes, Boxing IS a sport, but can it be used as self defensing purposes? I think it can. And again, i know the prequel ur talking about, where Yip Man is starting to learn all about Wing Chun. But again, there's where your wrong: Donnie Yen wasn't even in it, not even the same Director. So u can't say he quit because of the last movie that he wasn't even in it.

  • @orihalchon From Kung-Fu cinema " Have you grown tired of all the Yip/Ip Man-related film projects yet? Donnie Yen, star of IP MAN and IP MAN 2 has. He has made it clear to Chinese media that after IP MAN 2, which now has an earlier Asian release date of April 29, Yen will have nothing more to do with films pertaining to the Wing Chun master. "

  • “This will be my final film on the subject,” said Yen. “Whenever something becomes a success, everyone would jump on the bandwagon. This is very frightening. Did you know how many IP MAN films are in production? Under such condition we would not progress. It’d only lead to over-saturation of the subject matter.”

  • In addition to IP MAN 2, directed by Wilson Yip, there are two other major Yip Man films coming out in 2010. One is Wong Kar-wai’s long in development biopic THE GRAND MASTER, starring Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Herman Yau’s THE LEGEND IS BORN: IP MAN, starring real-life Wing Chun practitioner Tu Yu-hang as a younger Yip Man.

  • @tramdr And yes, you are finally correct there. But as i say again, i was correcting you when you before, said Donnie Yen quits just because the 2nd movie told him to use gloves and plot etc got sucked (which it wasn't). And now you've finally got the point there i'm telling you all along; it's just his last work, on Yip Man related films.

  • @orihalchon I never said he quit because of 'Gloves' or 'Plot'. I said I HATED that IP had a hard time beating a BOXER and he was wearing GLOVES no less, and mostly because of this, the PLOT sucked. Donnie quit because he didn't want to overdo it "everyone jumping on the bandwagon" If you really did any homework or actually comprehended what I ACTUALLY wrote..... Bah, I'll just say you failed this class.

  • @tramdr BTW, I still cannot phantom a martial arts master with all the fighting, killing and disabling tools he has available: Kicks, groin, pressure points, knees, throat, etc etc, having a hard time against a person who is limiting by 1. only knowing boxing skills, 2. GLOVES lol. I believe I have won this debate on every point. Happy Holidays. Peace.

  • @tramdr Well, you aren't actually said it directly, but you did indirectly, "..and he even fights with the boxing gloves on. Nice lol. I see why Donnie Yen quit after this..", even though you didn't mean what u said it was.

So okay, you just said you didn't like the plot etc. Well, it's obvious that this is down to each person''s tastes, really. So i can't argue with you on that. And let me remind you; i'm here 'cuz i'm tellin' u an explanation, but it turn out you know it all. So, okay, byebye

  • Awesome!

  • GAgh, this movie is so ridiculous. he beat up 30 chinese whit machetes and weapons.

then he almost get beaten up by a english boxer? haha if this had happend the western boxer had't stand a chance. the chinese have so mutch more controle over there body, and could easly make that fight whit just one arm.

  • @stonehill3 I take it you have never seen a real boxer, they are much like wushu and wing chun masters, they are fast strong and disciplined very much in a similar way and boxers from the 50's where wrecking machines, all though i will say Yip Man was more then anyone of that era could handle, but you shouldn't make such rash statements as if a middle weight boxer conected a full force punch on any stlye's master they would not get up nd its the same going the other way aswell

  • I just watched the first one and it was amazing. After watching this tailer, I feel like I already know what will happen in the second one.

  • Twister also play Kano in MK Legacy :] I watched the movie yesterday, really liked it.

  • Esta movie esta buenisima me encanto!

  • @PharaohNick - total douchebag, I wanted to jump through the screen and kick his ass myself.

  • Can you say EPIC?

  • is there a movie that is translated in english

  • I am a student of wing chun and I have seen part1 of Ip Man and it was very inspiring. I can hardly wait to see part 2.

  • I want this to show in HongKong soon :d

  • 0:57 the fat dude can really jump. He should play some basketball. It seemed as if he farted his way up to the table from the ground.

  • @ADRIEL296 - 'the fat dude'....... - do you even know who that is?
