Hey, love your videos! I also have naturally curly hair and I learned of using a cotton t shirt to "turban" my head. It's called plopping. Lol. It does not cause frizzies and it helps to absorb water and keep curlies looking great! Plus it's better for the environment cause you can use a shirt over and over again. Hehe. U can sleep in it overnight or if you shower in the a.m. keep the shirt on your head for at least 15-20 mins then you can let it air dry from there. Just google "plopping" :)
"you can never really deep condition too much" This is not true, over conditioning can occur (especially in curly hair) and it makes the curls too soft and limp, as well as flat and frizzy. Protein treatments can fix this and restore hair to normal
Banana Mask: I have done it many times and my frizzy curly hair looked awesome
1 banana, two table spoon of almond oil... mix them together into a paste ( mash the banana of course) apply it to your hair for 35 mins and then wash it off ( follow your normal hair routine)
Disclaimer: Banana tends to be a tough master to be washed.. but the final product of all the hard work is soft and super shiny hair
Thanks! I use some homemade treatments for my hair: this one I learned with a girl here at YT; is a mix with coconut oil and a egg yoke, apply on dry hair and then rest for 30 min with a plastic bag warped on head and a towel.I made a litthe adjustment on: add a soup spoon of yogurt and 2 of olive oil.I've being doing that once a week for 4 weeks and my hair looks healthier and smooth! another is put 2soup spoons of vinegar on 300ml of cold water and pouring over wet hair at last rinsing. :)
I use olive oil on my ends at least once a week, then I use the brazillian keratin therapy conditioner every other day and my hair is crazy smooth, soft, and shiny!
the conditioner I got at Ulta, it's by Organix it costed me $7.99, and i live in Oregon so I don't have taxes on this.
I don't like to wash my hair with cold water afterwards cause it makes my shiny, which leads to fast greasiness. i hate washing my hair every other day. i liked it when i was able to wash it every 2 days.
One thing I do is that every two weeks have ONE DAY where after taking a shower ypu put conditioner in your hair, leave it there to let it air dry and don't use an product until the after next shower.
Cheap hair rinse to reduce build up, tackle dandruff and generally cleanse : 2-3tbsp apple cider vinegar mixed with 4cups of distilled water – use after normal shampoo/condition routine, just rinse through, leave for a minute, rinse out - can use regualry but not too often as it can dry hair out. Google for in depth guides. Also I use an old t-shirt to dry my hair instead, my mum would kill me for wasting paper like that :'D Awesome video as always thank you for the tips <3
i read in a magazine that ur actually not supposed to comb really curly hair(like i have) be cause it damages it, so u finger comb it in the shower after conditioning.
Squeeze instead of rub the water out of your hair with a regular towel, and you can skip tossing out a million paper towels a week!
Also, if you live in a super dry climate like I do, winter is really harsh for hair... what I do is I use a spray-in conditioner as well as regular conditioner, and if my hair is really suffering, I use Live Clean's argan oil serum in my hair when it's wet. Great stuff!
yeah it sounds like a lot of paper towels wasted. i usually just leave the towel on my head for 10 mins or squeeze the towel to let it soak the water faster. just never rub the towel
I use totally natural, organic aloe Vera gel. (it's a weird-looking & unscented one from a health food store). I originally used it for my skin (I'm an all natural skincare freak :D), and one day I just decided to put some in my hair. Honestly I don't know how it works, but I do know that it makes my hair softer and shinier. Also I French twist my hair overnight to make it wavy, and AV gel seems to act as a mouse or something because it really improved the volume and made the waves last longer.
im not trying to be rude i absolutely love you and your videos but i just have a funny question..why do all beauty gurus gulp so hard while they are speaking? lmao :p
for my curly hair, i use SO MUCH conditioner it's insane! i only wash my hair with shampoo once or twice a week, and every other time i wash it with a dime size amount of conditioner. then after that, i load it up with conditioner in the shower and let it sit while I do my other stuff, then I rinse with cold water and then put in a leave in conditioner! but my curly hair is now shiny and really soft, and not at all greasy or oily. maybe you could try this, although your hair is already so nice!!
for around 2-3 years now i have been rinsing my hair with cold water when im done in the shower and i never knew why i only remember some one telling me it was good for my hair. Thank you, i know why it helps now :)
Organix found at walmart is sulfate free and cost $6.00-$8.00 in the midwest united states(: hope this helps the person looking for other sulfate free bands(: id link you but dont know how to on my phone so sorry(:
Paper towels don't sound like a good idea. That's many paper towels in one hair wash! However, definitely one vote up for the cold water idea. Tried and tested, great for hair cuticles.
I can't use clips without a hair elastic thingie. I have such fine hair that clips slip and fall right out. It's upsetting because I have some SUPER cute clips that I can't get to stay in. They're small and no hair elastic is small enough to allow the clip to go over it.
Instead of paper towels, try using an old cotton T-shirt. The cotton doesn't mess up the hair cuticles and helps absorb the excess water better. Also, using boar bristle brushes help make the hair shinier and healthier.
Can you demonstrate how to wrap your hair with a paper towel? Because I have a lot, I really mean a lot. When I tie 2 braids, 1 braid already looks more than my friend's whole head of hair...
I recently came across a product I decided to try. I'm SO glad I did. It's called CRACK you can get it at folica.com. I LOVE it!!!! Its a leave in conditioner that seals and protects too. Its a small tube that costs $20 but you only need a pea sized portion.
You look absolutely gorgeous in this video-3 I looooooooovee your natural hair, your earrings, and pleeeeeeeeeaaaaase tell me what is that lipstick?!:)
I use a comb to comb the conditioner through my hair when in the shower, let the conditioner set while I shave or wash or blah blah blah, then wash it out before I get out :D your hair becomes super soft because it's getting the conditioner evenly spread throughout. WIth that being said, YOU'RE AWESOME AND SO GORGEOUS (even without make up :D)
Everyone remember to use hair ties only when you HAVE too! Hair ties are bad for your hair, so if you're home I suggest using a scrunchie :) - you know the one's for the 60's with the cloth around it!
Very nice tips! Thanks! From my experience shampoos with natural ingredients makes my hair super tangled and dry...it is super hard to comb them later :( and afterwards they are very frizzy. I agree with cold water although I hate to do it myself cause it doesn't feel nice to wash your head with cooooold water, brrr :D But I will have to start doing it cause I feel like I use too warm water to wash my hair.
one other good hair tip is not to wash it everyday, just every two days. Reason is, because you retain your hair's natural oil that way and it becomes shinier and healthier. Also, never comb your hair when it's wet, but use a serum or cream on the ends and comb it through only with your fingers and let it air dry.
Don't waste paper towls... What you should do is just wrap your hair up in a towel, leave it there for 20 min or so let it down. Brush or comb enough to do your part if you have one n to get knotts out then let it air dry while you do makeup.. And if u need it dry fast go outside or blow dry with the cool setting...
Just to kind of piggyback on what you said about air drying your hair once you get out of the shower, it's not a good idea to comb/brush your hair when it's wet because your hair is much weaker when its wet, than when it's dry. So let your hair air dry THEN comb or brush. Also, I like to brush my hair before I get in the shower to remove any tangles that would otherwise be difficult to brush out after I get out. :)
i tried the cold water tip....it diddnt work :( but i do have a tip for defining curls! Flip your hair over and as your washing your conditioner out scrunch the hair like crazyy!! even after the conditioner is gone and instead of mousse use conditioner to hold the hair in place but always remember keep scrunching ! it really helped me get better curls :)
my hair is naturaly curly but i dont like curls on me so i am absested with geting my hair strate but i dont want to damege my hair so much. Do you have any Tips for me?
Hi could someone plz answer this question. I went to my dermatologist and he gave a medicine called Isitroderm (its a derivate from roaccutan) i want to know if it works, and what should i expect. If u dont know this pills, it may be cause i live in latin america. I would be thankfull for any information.
I heard that you should go to bed with your hair in braids, that way you don't break your hair. Also, don't play with your hair. You know, like don't keep touching it with your fingers and such. You should invest in a GOOD hair straightener, it can help. That is all I remember at the moment.
I like to use leave in conditioners after i wash my hair. That is all i use on my hair and let it air dry. No gel or mousse or hairspray, just leave in conditioner, it makes my hair look nice and healthy.
my mom taught me this: use a mix of apple cider vinegar and warm water before you get out of the shower, leave it in for 5 minutes, then rinse. it makes your hair, especially brunettes and redheads, have extremely shiny hair with a little bitt of highlighting, so pretty! i use this 3 times a week. you need like 2 tbsp of vinegar per cup of water. your hair will smell like vinegar until it is completely dry, when it's dry there isn't even a trace of the smell. try it!
argan oil leave-in conditioner! :) the best to get rid of dry, frizzy hair, especially your ends, and leaves a silky, non-greasy finish! + it's all natural and sulfate free (I use the organix brand, easily found at walmart!)
I honestly notice NO difference (frizziness, or health wise) in my hair when I use sulfates & when I don't. If anything, I have more flakes, buildup & oiliness when I DON'T use sulfates. I've tried $3 sls free shampoo & $30...yes....I know....sls free shampoo & None of them have worked. finally I gave up on trying to find a sls & als shampoo that would work for me.
Try Moroccanoil! I use it all the time and after a week of using it I noticed a huge difference. My hair started growing a lot faster and most of my dead ends have gone away!
I tend to have dry hair sometimes.. so i usually put some yogurt mask on my hair with some olive oil in it.. i let sit until it is a little dry and wash it off after that. I usually leave it on for about an hour. For the yogurt olive oil hair mask, i put 2 tablespoons of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. :D
What about blow drying your hair with cold air, my blow dryer has a setting for cold air too and thats what i use almost every morning, is that still bad for my hair?
put a honey mask on your hair, it will let it shiny and healty. You can put some on your face becouse it will let it soft. add it some sugar and will have an exfoliant.
considere that the more clare it is the honey the more pure it is and there fore the results are best becouse it is not mixt whit the wax.
I am currently using WEN products for my hair, they are completely organic, and since shampoo has too many detergents, they have a cleansing conditioner instead and more products that make my hair look and feel healthy and shiny... I absolutely love this brand and it's eco- friendly :)
yay! I'd love it if you could do a video on types of acne creams/gels etc that you should use together, and in what order... like moisturise then creams? oily products mixed with non oily etc, sometimes it feels counter productive putting so many things on at once :) love your videos!
Also, i was hoping you could do a video on how to get back your natural high color the BEST way. I know there are soo many ways to stip hair but im curious to know the best and safest way. Thanks for your help :)
Thanks so much for sharing this! Ive found alot of your videeos to be really helpful, espically the ones about acne. Ive suffered from mild acne for over 6 years now and ive just started using "Acne Soultion" by Clinque. Do you know anything about this product? So far its done the job but really dried out my skin in the process.
the best hair mask i have ever tried(and i tried tons, from low cost to high cost) was Origins, rich rewards...is just the most amazing mask and its chemicals free and smells amazing and the hair is amazingly soft after. Also i never use cheap shampoos,i use the Phyto shampooes, they seems to be the best
shampoo either makes me itchy or gives me a rash on my scalp so i dont really feel like trying their brands for myself because scalp rashes are not fun trust me. so i dont suggest switching from your sulfate shampoo if its working for you
so i kind of dont believe the sulfate thing completely. ive always used drugstore shampoo with it my whole life and i have really good hair (its never dry or oily). when i shop at lush i was asking about hair stuff and they were telling me that my hair looked really good and asked what i used i told them right now herbal essences. they sold me some of their shampoo because i was curious to try it and it took away my body and some of the softness. almost everytime i got to the salon their
actually you can deep conditioning or moisturizing your hair too much. the hair can only hold so much moisture and too much build up of this can cause your hair to become entirely too elastic and break.
I have really curly hair and I do most of the things you mentioned the only thing ive never done is dry my hair with a paper towel if you can may you please do a tutorial and I love your gorgeous hair I want me hair that long tips on how to grow your hair please xD
shouldn't you have shiny healthy hair before you make this video???

OK HERE'S A REALLY GOOD TIP THAT I SWEAR BY!!
USE COCONUT OIL (I REALLY MEAN 100% COCONUT OIL, YOU CAN BUY IT IN THE SUPERMARKET, HOPEFULLY) AS A HAIR MASK.
GET A SPOONFUL OF THE OIL AND WARM IT UP (MICROWAVE OR RUB IT BETWEEN YOU HANDS UNTIL IT MELTS)
THEN SPREAD IT TROUGHOUT YOUR HAIR
LEAVE IT IN YOU HAIR FOR 20 MINUTES
RINSE IT OUT WITH SHAMPOO (AND CONDITIONER)
DO THIS NATURAL DEEP CONDITIONER ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK
DONE!! THIS IS A REALLY REALLY GOOD TIP FOR HEALTHY SHINY HAIR!!

Use a tee shirt after you wash your hair, instead of using paper towels. I have almost the same hair as yours, it works very well for me.
SuperPinklover13 4 weeks ago
Don't waste paper towls... What you should do is just wrap your hair up in a towel, leave it there for 20 min or so let it down. Brush or comb enough to do your part if you have one n to get knotts out then let it air dry while you do makeup.. And if u need it dry fast go outside or blow dry with the cool setting...
AlyCatt15 4 weeks ago 28

@kapheeable invest in a good straightener, macadamia oil and moroccan oil are supposed to be really good for damaged hair .

Also, I wouldn't use paper towels (it's wasteful both money wise & for the environment) I use a cotton tshirt or a turbee twist.

put a honey mask on your hair, it will let it shiny and healty.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Ive found alot of your videeos to be really helpful, espically the ones about acne. Ive suffered from mild acne for over 6 years now and ive just started using "Acne Soultion" by Clinque. Do you know anything about this product? So far its done the job but really dried out my skin in the process.

shampoo either makes me itchy or gives me a rash on my scalp so i dont really feel like trying their brands for myself because scalp rashes are not fun trust me. so i dont suggest switching from your sulfate shampoo if its working for you
samxsew 4 weeks ago
Have you tried WEN hair products?
misssexylatina09 4 weeks ago
so i kind of dont believe the sulfate thing completely. ive always used drugstore shampoo with it my whole life and i have really good hair (its never dry or oily). when i shop at lush i was asking about hair stuff and they were telling me that my hair looked really good and asked what i used i told them right now herbal essences. they sold me some of their shampoo because i was curious to try it and it took away my body and some of the softness. almost everytime i got to the salon their
samxsew 4 weeks ago
actually you can deep conditioning or moisturizing your hair too much. the hair can only hold so much moisture and too much build up of this can cause your hair to become entirely too elastic and break.
leMegan572 4 weeks ago
