Oh when people said there was an other lacrimosa not Evanescences i was like no there isnt but i looked it up and here it is!!! The beggings are the same but not including that there notthing alike!
can words of sheer and utter wisdom be compared to that of a musical composition? I've often wondered..............is there an inate beauty in truth? Find out...........go to YOUTUBE, watch The Real Reason Why People Defend Religion..........its what the world needs..............truth, plain and simple
do composers or when its performed do their own twist to it, since its unfinished? They use this piece a lot commercially in movies, commercials and tv shows and im always able to easily pick it out.
umm, isnt this the one from the funeral scene of Immortal Beloved about Beethoven? Isn't this on the soundtrack as written by Beethoven? Or am I just remembering wrong?
@NativeMetalVT St.Stephen's Cathedral is in Austria, When Mozart die, his funeral has been doing exactly in this Cathedral and then, he has been buried in St. Marx cemetery.
quincux, I met her at Tower Records in San Francisco. She would not leave until everyone talked to her as long as they wanted to. She was so sweet and charming, such a class act!
I remember this piece of music from the simpsons episode: "Margical History Tour" from the scene when bart (as Mozart) is dying.

you can tell when he dies and where others take over...

Imagine what it must have been like played live. Like with the real Mozart conducting it. The whole audience must have been speechless.

Too bad it's unfinished. I wish Mozart had lived just a bit longer so he could finish this one.

Tearful will be that day
on which from the ashes will rise
the guilty man for judgment.
So have mercy, O Lord, on this man.
Compassionate Lord Jesus,
grant them rest. Amen.

@WindSpirit22 Errmm the title of the video does say it's being performed at St. Stephen's Cathedral, so I'm guessing that's the building...

listen to evanescence's version of this; Evanescance - lacrimosa, its epic. they get alot of their influance from classical music
jimbo222000 2 years ago
Actually, their "version" sucks ass. Evanescence suck ass and those who listen to them also suck ass. They raped this masterpiece.
