it does , too. the sport startet in the USA in the '20 , there are tracks all over europe and, as far as I know, 3 in the USA. these little gizmos go up to 340 kmh nowadays....

Fatter tires creates more surface touching the ground which equals more friction which equals slower car. I don't know anything about tether racing but to me that part of it is common sense.
