Apart from looking rather odd, why do dancers where trousers with one leg shorter than the other? Does it give you more flexibilty than normal trousers?

@MidgetBuddie I don't know about all dancers, but as a dancer I roll up the legs b/c I get warm from working out and also so I don't snag the legs w. my foot during center practice doing step combinations, jumps,etc.

Another reason is it keeps the pantlegs from flapping, slipping around or obscuring a line we're working on perfecting.

We wear the long pants first to help warm up our muscles faster and afterwards to keep from cooling down too fast. Hope that helps clear up the mystery!

@maraj021 I cut the leg off one so I could see my knee on one leg so I can watch my positioning. The other's for warmth like yours, LOL.

You guys should stick to your own dancers who all have a lot of talent and charisma. This pair is boring, not very technically good, and most of all: 100% not graceful. Couldn't even watch until the end.

I have to agree strongly with you. Technique is a strong factor in ballet, but that was all this couple seemed to be interested in, even then it was hardly that good at all. It wasn't pretty or entertaining to watch, hardly a personable ballet style, and it seemed like they didn't enjoy what they were doing at all.
