I've seen an evidence that originally it is Honey Bunny who was planned to be featured in Space Jam. However, one artist stated that she looks like Bugs' twin sister, and there's need to redesign her. For some reason they decided to change her name as well. So apparently Lola is just an updated version of Honey. I know, this sounds crazy, but I think it's quite possible. Plus, there are some similarities between Lola and Honey (in her comics version).

But I'll just go with Lola since they already call her Lola and even tough she may be just an update, so is Bugs, just an update from Happy Rabbit. But you don't refer to him as Happy Rabbit, he is Bugs Bunny. And that's the same thing with Lola as well. (sorry if I somehow insulted you, it's just that Lola is my fave character and I will support her no matter what)

@RainuanimeFani Scary? The Island Bunny and Daisy Lou are cute. :| There are two versions of Honey Bunny - the animated version is yellow like what you saw here, and the grey version which looks more like Bugs (something like Daisy Lou) in merchandising.

Actually there are at least 4 different versions of Honey bunny -

the yellow animated version you see here.

the grey version that looks like Bugs but sometimes wears a bow on her head that you see in animation art and merchandising.

a yellow version that wears a shirt and pants and has her ears down and a bow on her head you see in some of the old comics.

a pink version you see in animation art.

Search Google for things like paper doll sets and especially for image entitled "Our little slice of heaven". She is really beautiful and I still can't understand why Warner Bros. decided to replace her with Lola. They were creating a beautiful love story for almost 56 years just to destroy it in few months by introducing Lola... sad.
