I was talking about this time, and the FDIC Act was in 1933 so there was regulation before the 1934 SEC Act which is but one of many bills such as the 1933 GlassSteagall which also predates the 1934 SEC Act. I see it is actually you who is clueless in this case of the exact nature of the regulations that were removed in the last few years that permitted the exact same thing to happen that happened before

@glocksout Actually, take a look at the sugar quota! Federal law mandates that the U.S. imports a very limited amount of sugar (this was created to support the big money sugar corporations). As a result, sugar and anything made with sugar becomes dramatically more expensive. Ron Paul has stated that he would start a movement to repeal this! This is also why foreign sodas taste much better, sugar is cheap, our companies are forced to use corn syrup! Just a tidbit!
