Why would you waste money on putting an exhaust on any car. I like the look. It increases my horsepower and torque, which is helpful in a car with 71 hp. And I am just having fun with it.
The point of getting aftermarket exhaust is to free up extra horsepower for performance, but obviously the smart car isn't made for performance, so what's the point? That would be like getting aftermarket exhaust on a Prius.
As with any car getting a little more hp is useful. With the smart, when you are on a highway onramp and need a little more up and go a 10% increase in hp is nice to have. If you own a Ferrari with lots of hp, why would you tune it? Because you can. So why not tune a smart. You either love these vehicles or you think they are stupid.
