Nice find! Is it yours now? What did you end up doing with your xs500? Also when you pulled the engine out of the yamaha was there any tricks to getting it out of the frame? Thanks
@dmc4612 thanks. it's my pops now. The XS500 is almost done. Prep and Paint then done. I'll post a video as soon as I can. With the Yamaha motor there is a few ways you can remove it. Remove the engine mounting bracket located near the points cover. Then if you remove the valve cover it should give you more room to get it out. Some people will even turn the frame on its side to remove it. If you don't want to damage the paint on the frame you can use copper pipe insulation tubing.
