@bigtmeyerrose he means put the .minecraft folder in the place where are your main files are, like with adobe and everything. So if you type it in run you'll come up with it.

and when i watch other videos i see they have 3x3 or 4x4.. im not sure? how's that ?

also, check out crafting guide on google or wiki, they should have the basic rundown.
