@cittygirly Not entirely correct. Morocco, Lebanon, Tunisia can also participate, even though they're African countries. Same with Israel, which already participates since 1973. It doesn't have to do with European borders, but with the borders of the EBU, the organisers. :) Kazachstan could participate too, for instance.
