  • Elmo won a snowman wearing a snorkel lol.

  • 1:52 to 4:09, that's one heck of a 30 seconds.

  • If Telly is really stage fright like he was from 3:25-3:26 screaming while running away off stage or, if he is afraid to be seen on television, I wonder why he is not so scared to be seen on television whenever he has his own news segment called "Monster On The Spot."

  • In this bit, it looks like Guy Smiley finally solved his curtain problem!

  • Yes that's right. I also noticed that as soon as the announcer introduced Guy Smiley. Maybe this is the only skit where Guy Smiley doesn't get stuck or trapped in the curtain where he would always have to move around while trying to get released.

  • Ever notice how almost every game show on Sesame Street opens up with "And now it's time for everybody's favorite game show"? And how they all seem to use the exact same yellow and pink set?

There's a good way to teach kids about recycling. ;)

  • Excellent thinking. And by the way, I just saw Guy Smiley's most recent appearance from a show from this past season, ou should check it out if you haven't already. It's not much different than this one, which I even agree took much more than 30 seconds.

  • everything i loved about Sesame Street, lol

  • Elmo certainly found 3 more things with the "SN" sound. They were: Snacks, Sneakers (on Telly's feet) and Snuffy. Elmo certainly did a great job and won.

  • It was pretty nice to see Elmo appear as a guest on "Beat the Time" with Guy Smiley by doing some stunts.

  • Nice Elmo clip.

  • hmm ggee some prize .. a snow man .. wil melt soon

  • ... a SNowman wearing a SNorkle ...

  • I was hoping Elmo would blow his nose on a tissue.

I was like, ELMO COME ON! BLOW YOUR NOSE ON A TISSUE! I HAVE A COLD SO I'LL DO IT FOR YOU! 8D

  • Yeah this was back when Elmo was actually tolerable on sesame street. Not like the glory hog he is today.

  • thats the longest 30 seconds in game show history :-)

  • @austranz ...what I was going to say.

  • @TheBeebe1972 What?

  • @cstoczyn longest 30 seconds ever.

  • @TheBeebe1972 HUZZAH!!!!

  • Hooray again. :)

  • it does not

  • Elmo is the best sesame street character ever!!!!

  • I preferred Grover.

  • Actually, both monsters have their strong points.

  • ^__^ Elmo was always my favorite. I LOVE him. thanks for helping me remember. I love his new show Elmo's World. I just wish the ending song was much MORE original. Like a different one for each theme instead of the word song to "Jingle Bells"

  • that was THE longest 30 seconds ive ever seen........... i dident know that even sesame street had the power to turn 30 seconds to two and a half minutes... but i was corrected

  • This is back when I liked Elmo. When he was a minor character.

  • err...Elmo not know!

  • "hi ma" LOL!

  • If you ask me, this is easily one of the ten best Elmo clips on Sesame Street ever.

  • Back when Elmo was actually funny and watchable.

  • And not on every 2 seconds on Sesame Street.

  • That was a long 30 seconds.

  • woooooooo GO ELMO!!!

  • I always loved these segments and how something bad always happened (or good) @ the end.

  • WE WIN BABY

  • wat about the one with homer honker and teh other beat the time with the martian i think he has to bring 3 sources of light if any1 has those can they please upload thank you

  • The one with the martians was actually called "Bring That Thing."

  • Elmo is way funnier in this clip than he is now. Nowadays, Elmo both sounds ugly and isn't even cute anymore. Please post more classic Elmo, like his first appearance in 1979.

  • is the from the 80s?

  • who wants to win a snowman. That shit would melt

  • Not necessarily. This game show could be taking place in the Winter.

  • wat about the game show with the two headed monsters

  • I remember what you're talking about. I saw it in English along time ago and I also saw it in Spanish. I believe it's called "The How Many Game." Could have been another Beat The Time.

  • @jonnytbirdzback Right About That

  • also the one with homer honker and i think there is another beat the time with one of those martians he has to bring 3 sources of light if any1 has that could they please upload thankyou

  • @tom81058 "THE HOW MANY GAME"

  • We're going to see "Beat the Time" with Grover on Old School Volume 2. The only thing is they are putting it in as a replacement for "Dialing for Prizes Movie". Why would they cut such an awesome clip?

  • I just bought the boxset today and I was thrilled that it was even there. I don't feel too bad that they got rid of Dialing For Prizes Movie but I think it was about time to see a rare classic, don't you think. The only thing is that Here Is Your Life: Loaf of bread, they edited the title card. Replacing the one that nantoreturns had with the title card from painting of a bowl of fruit and carton of eggs.

  • Wow. Isn't that weird? What was the point of that?

It's a shame about "Dialing", though it is good to have that episode of "Beat the Time" too. I'm guessing it had something to do with getting the rights to the silent movie. Don't you have it, by the way? If so, how about uploading it?

  • "hi mom!" LOL!

  • I agree.

  • Hooray again.
