Why TF doesnt google/YouTube do the hex editing.

At least they know what they are doing.

  • version 10.0.45.2 is out!

  • For patching Flash 10.0.42.34:

    Step 1)

For Firefox/Safari/Opera: Open file NPSWF32.dll in hex editor, go to address 0x722ED

For Internet Explorer: Open file Flash10d.ocx in hex editor, go to address 0x7259F

    Step 2)

    Check that bytes are 0F 84 F2 00 00 00, and change them to E9 F3 00 00 00 90.

  • Oh Yes!

Very good work, patch works perfect here (using IE .ocx), thank you~~~~!!

  • the original one wasn't 100% correct, and I don't feel like working on this again...

  • Arg, well let's hope you change your mind! As your fix for 10.0.32.18 has always worked fine here ^^

  • Today Adobe released Flash Player 10.0.42.34 ...

  • Flash Player 10.1 beta with h264 hardware acceleration is out!!

    labs adobe com-technologies-flashplayer10 ( replace - by \ )

Please "fix" the .ocx (activex) if possible.

    TYVM!

I'm trying to remove the message from the standalone projector for linux found on the Adobe site, but i can't really find the right address to edit (my cracking days have long passed). Any help would be appreciated! (I can't post the link to the adobe site, as my comment will not be accepted)

  • For version 10.0.32.18:

    Open NPSWF32.dll, go to address 0x721F9. Check that bytes are 0F 84 F2 00 00 00, and change them to E9 F3 00 00 00 90.

    That's it!

  • Vexxxxxxxx, by all means, the same for IE activex file: Flash10c.ocx...

    Thanks!

  • For IE Flash10c.ocx: go to address 0x723FB. Bytes are the same (change 0F 84 F2 00 00 00 to E9 F3 00 00 00 90).

@dbosst: For me it works without any problems.

  • I just tested it - I want to confirm that IT WORKS! Thanks!

  • u said that we should open NPSWF32.dll , but how could i open that file? yeah i knew where it s placed in my pc, i found it but i dont know how to open so that i may change those addresses with them each.

  • Same here vjdave , wrote dbosst an email & waiting.. really hope it's possible!

  • I need to get rid of this in flash version 10,0,32,18 for Firefox please!

  • dbosst, I followed your instructions at videohelp . com for editing the Flash10b.ocx file using the HxD Hex Editor and Unlocker to delete the file and replace it with the edited version--worked perfectly (though I thought I could delete the file without Unlocker--tried everything from command prompt in XP to Windows 7 administrator to Bart PE, DOS and Knoppix--they locked that file down good.)

    In the Flash10b.ocx file, you have to replace 84 E9 00 00 00 with E9 EA 00 00 00 90 on line 00071C10

  • Btw, the Flash10b.ocx file is for the Internet Explorer flash plugin, the dll is for Firefox.

You may find the instructions he wrote at videohelp . com easier to follow.

  • Just edited the dll and that also fixes it for Safari.

Man, I've been wanting to get rid of that crappy "press esc" message for years--thanks again!!!

  • I would LOVE to know as well for 32.18 !

  • anyone know where it is for 10.0.32.18?

  • In my case (version 10.0.12.36) it was located at 7119D.

Thanks for the trick, that message is one of the most annoying "features" they could have come up with.

  • In version 10.0.22.87 found it at 71B22

  • Type in Google search: 00071B27

    And select first link

  • Thank You!

  • Can this work for version 10.0.22.87?
