S'pore's immigration policy has failed to gain receptive from locals - 11Oct2011

Singaporean government are the main proponent for Asean integration. A move benefits more from small member countries such as Singapore. As a Asean citizen they have the same privilege and rights residing in other member countries. But within Singapore their singing a different tune. What a hypocritical society.

@Thudothwacker You realise that the Singapore Goverment sings it's own tune as it pleases don't you? They've been doing that for decades now since they aren't particularly affected by the electorate. You also realise that for Singaporeans, moving to any another ASEAN country is a downgrade infrastructure wise don't you?

@Disgracefool Sooner or later Singapore will run out of space to grow. Where do you think you will go? Singapore need it's neighbouring countries for basic resources. Who will benefit most in Asean integrations in 2020? Members with inferior infrastructure. But resource rich with spaces to expand or a cramp city state that buys water from Malaysia.
