  • Thanks (...)

  • You bet it was! Heidelberg was enchanting. For a boy from the suburbs of Los Angeles it was a whole other world. Irmgardt Khurt...a beautiful, thin, blond, brilliant, fragile and somewhat insane student...her one room walk-up flat on a cobblestone street...God, I was in love with her...songs were coming on the radio for the first time like "Hey Jude"...I was ready to take the underground railroad to Scandanavia but luckily I never got orders for Nam...I miss Germany...

  • the only time I once was in Heidelberg recent years ago I couldnt find a bed to lay down my sleepy head cause everything was completely booked out by visitors from foreign countries ;-)

Germany that time should have been a better choice than Vietnam I guess.

  • hello randy,

    youre a funny guy I guess ;-)

listening to your music made the Germans around you healthy that time then,

hasnt it :-) ? best wishes.

  • Matthias, I guess you are talking about my "It's Coming" video. I did play some shows for the German people while I was stationed there, and they seemed to enjoy them. Germans are a great people...strong culture...good minds...simple hearts. I slept in the Heidelberg university with the students when they took it over in '69. I loved my time in Germany. Glad you enjoy my videos. :-)

  • You still have the pipes, Randy. You need to get a band together my friend ... this mix is excellent. Please take care.

  • Thanks Smitty, we are all praying for your safe return from Afghanistan. You have left home and family to put your body on the line to protect the noblest experiment in government the world has ever known. America has its faults, and is struggling against enemies of freedom both abroad and even within its own government, but it is still the best country on earth. We salute you. We appreciate you. We owe you.

  • Wow this is so far beyond anything I've ever seen from you Randy it's like you stepped into a whole new realm!!

  • Nice try, Eli, but I'm still not going to loan you that $10.
