@rancides12 A couple of months ago I heard a radio interview about whale killings. They said there is some kind of pact between Japan and I don't know which international organization. It says that Japan have a quote of 1000 whales per a year to hunt and they are not allowed to kill more than that. It is because Japan blackmailed them: if they don't agree with this, they start to hunt without counting. It's really ridiculous since according to researches, whale meat is poisonous.

I've seen one up close in Gaspe, Quebec. Really impressive. I thought the humpback we were watching moments before was awesome but when the blue whale showed up it just eclipsed the humpback in size. WOW! You've got to see one in real life to realize just how big they are. And I only saw the part that was sticking out of the water (the blowhole to the tail). that's not even 1/2 of the body itself.
