It's true that we Americans cannot threaten Russia. But that supposition still begs the question why Russia REALLY doesn't want these shield to go into place. The US certainly has the right to form treaties with these Eastern European nations. Either Russia considers it a threat, or merely an outright insult?

One might think himself back in the cold war era.
The US and Russia talking about missiles in Europe as if the 700 million Europeans dont even exist.
More to the point, the US continues to act as an occupying power in Europe. Dismantle the bases and go home, 60 years is enough.
Perhaps some good can come from the collapse of the dollar system when America will simply no longer be able to afford this behaviour.
That would be better for themselves, better for Russia and better for Europe.

Of course. Since NATO occupied Afghanistan, production of drugs increased enormously. We all know, that drugs is main source of finances of "terrorists" (call them like you want). So US just doing vision of "fighting", and in this time supporting "terrorists" by increasing of drug production. War is profit. Iraq's war already cost hundreds of billions $, which were just stealed (125 billions $ for reconstruction of Iraq dissapeared).
