So so so true.. I now someone that £80k on a fancy wedding... £30k+ is standard.. and thats just ONE side.. The groom goes allout aswell wit the walima. Even the "Sinni Faan" or engagement party is a full on event. It makes me sick!!! The sheikh makes it clear when he says people spend thier entire life savings on a four hour party,puts things into perspective. I hope I find a wife who's ok with a sunnah wedding IA. :-)
