  • Great work. How much time did you take to do this animation?

  • Thanks, got it. That's fine, I just wanted to know how you managed to get such accuracy with this clip. I guess you had to store a lot of shots, stop frame style, instead of auto tweens. Good job!

  • I just got Frameforge based on the amazing animation you did here! But it seems you create a few shots in the shot manager and then have to automate the tweening to get the characters/camera to move. i was hoping there would be a timeline with keyframes per second. Do you have a link to a simple example of how to do that without doing it automated using dissolves? Much appreciated

  • @robmacaire FrameForge isn't really meant to be an animation program, it's a storyboarding program. Its latest version added a feature that lets you create animatics by creating keyframes, then letting the program tween them. You could always do it the old fashioned way and create each frame individually, without the tweening, but that's way more work. Like I've always said - Animation Is HARD.

  • @robmacaire A timeline WOULD be very useful for animation, and I have suggested to the company that they include more animation-friendly features in the future as a way to increase their potential market. We'll have to see how that goes. For me, the fact that it's NOT an animation program was what attracted me to the idea of animating with it (I didn't originally buy it for animation). Kind of like using a butter knife as a screwdriver. It somehow seems more satisfying if you succeed.

  • Über Orezum!

  • Amazing dude. Great job.

  • Thanks for the comments. Everything you see is done in FrameForge 3, the latest version, then edited in Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 to synch the video with the sound clip from the movie. FrameForge has EXCELLENT mouth-modelling and facial expression capabilities. You can make very minute adjustments in both. For a 1st attempt, I'm happy with it, but I think, with a little practice, someone could really make the mouth animation perfect - better than with most high-priced animation programs.

  • seriously good. is this the latest Frameforge Previz or Poser? How did you make the mouths animate? Thanks

  • pretty decent, mouth moved with audio, impressive.

  • Pretty good for a first timer! You're showing some serious chops.
