My generation read Orwell and Huxley and swore (silently inside our hearts and minds) that, in the words of Frank Zappa, "it can't happen here." Then we zoned out on drugs and technology; chomping our burgers; chugging our beers and sodas; hating all the right enemies; embracing every covert image and blatant lie beamed endlessly into our Pavlovian subconsciousness; and lo and behold. . . one day we find ourselves surprised(?) that our proud democracy mutated into an oligarchy, on our watch!
@drmaddogs2u because its time to change this fokked system ;), besides, where do ya think all the sleeping sheep get their entertainment from???....tis why this needs to be on TV
@hauleywood ^ companies own the MSM, they are owned by multinat.corps selling toothpaste to fighter jets. They will(MSM) not allow. New 'airwaves' needto be sold/new legislation/'Fair and balanced".
We need a Pres. and reps or a revolution or all alternative info sources will be taken away.
Vote your *ss off, spread the word. Political action or revolut*on only answer.
On some level I knew most of the information in this film already, but it did one thing, remind me how amazingly important the 2012 elections will be. People need to realize every 4 years this goes unchecked, the corruption infiltrates more deeply into the government & big business and will be harder to reverse. It is extremely important to change this NOW. This also depresses me though, with how much dirty shit they've done, you think they'll let Paul win??? :/
ok second as on every political youtube thing it seems people talk about communism, as far as ive ever known american communists/socialists/anarchists believe in democracy/republicanism more than any other piece. if you are curious about what we think just ask, most of us are nice folks. now if somebody says anything different like we believe in totalitarianism id have to say that would somebody else's -ism, somebody else's communism, anarchism, or socialism.
Oh, I'd recommend "Homage to Catalonia" to any that enjoy George Orwell btw. He describes joining a Marxist internationalist force (POUM) in Spain to aid the citizens fight for autonomy: reasoning - "if we all shot one fascist, there wouldn't be any left". initially the Churches were sacked and everyone called each other "comrade". Eventually, the group also fought against the Leninist forces - Orwell describes a USSR man as a paid liar. Churches in Spain celebrated Hitler's birth up to 1968.
@gamerunknown This is factually correct, KrampKan, or whatever your name is. Also, just in case you wished to try and pull out 1984 as some sort of example that he Orwell was referring explicitly to the USSR, you would be incorrect. There was an unpublished forward to the book I recommend reading. The interesting thing is why it was left out in the first place.
it seems to me there is much talk on these issues along partisan lines--that is im on team b and anti team b, this is not an effective way to solve much. lets all try to talk about details and figure out what in general people agree with and disagree with. we don't all have to like each other in order to work together and find common goals.
"Austrian school" nonsense he might be ok.- What has the present system brought us? Mostly Foriegn owned Banks set up the Federal Reserve and still own it today-They own us-Where we are today..slave labor paying into a system built on debt..To the Federal Reserve Primary Dealers/Banks. Saving is useless.
If you watch this film and are still confused about who should get your vote, you were not paying attention. Watch it again. The person who should get your vote is the person the media never mentions as a viable candidate for President. So far, I am going with Rocky Anderson. Colbert or Bernie Sanders.
Everyone must understand it is not Republican vs Democrat. It is the media and the political machine VS US. The media and every single politician except a rare few, are out to pull a sting on us. This is a huge fraud pulled on us all. Yet people keep tuning into MSNBC, FOX, CNN which pulls all common sense out of their brains. Critical thinking dies. That is what this film shows.
We keep watching the boob tube. We are in real, deep trouble. This is serious & getting worse. WAKE UP I BEG YOU!
The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power by Joel Bakan & The Political Economy of Media: Enduring Issues, Emerging Dilemmas by Robert McChesney as well..
By the time people look at R.P. most have figured out Main Street Media,,but this is a good explanation why R.P. has some of the most acrimonious objectors. Might want to spread it around as some still are not aware of how the propoganda machine is controlling society. And Ron Paul is a threat to it.
the corporate democrats and the gop are the same so people like lennybird are the ones that fuck up the country more than a person who votes his/her conscience for a third party or for someone who isnt a frontrunner for the banking and industrialist cartells. BLOWME LENNTBIRD YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SUCKS MOST
@jaksngreen Your inability to compose yourself suggests some serious cracks in your maturity level, which leads me to believe you have little understanding of what's going on in the realm of politics. You forfeit respect when you start name-calling. Do you really think I haven't considered that outlook? At one point I certainly did. But then I stopped simplifying politics and started to actually pay attention.
@Lennybird91 How you can say that Democrats are the same is beyond my comprehension—an egregrious claim which greatly skews the contrast between the two parties. You may want to review some of the legislation put through in the past to understand where their differences lie: Democrats are by and large center-right conservatives; most progressives/libs have been feeling their representation is falling short.
@Lennybird91 But that's due to external influences. It's due to people like "REWHBLCAIN," whose yt bio claims he's a registered lobbyists that is likely for special-interests beyond what you or I care about, but primarily to make some sort of financial gain at the expense of everyone else.
@Lennybird91 It's the mainstream news media bantering and mudslinging problems—primarily derived from Fox news that causes democrats to tred water... To bend or to break. t's the millions of dollars NECESSARY to get reelected—which means appealing to lobbyists/corporations. Jeffrey Sachs made note that this is changing, but that will only happen when the youth take politics seriously and the television is washed out of its sheep of seniors.
@Lennybird91 You have to play by the rules of the game before you can change them. I want third-parties running, too, but we've boxed ourselves in to a two-party system. The GOP must get wiped off in the elections first before any change at the booths can legitimately happen.
@Lennybird91 RP will not get the republican nomination—he's too much of a fringe for them and their established christian right and social conservative voting class (which exceeds the base of RP) of Pubs. So what's bound to occur is that RP will run under a 3rd party ticket. You will continue to vote Ron Paul and split the democratic base—greatly ignoring the logic behind voting for not just the best candidate, but the most probable best candidate.
I noticed something about G.W. Bush and the election decision of 2000 by the Supreme Court. The five Justices that they refer to were appointed under Republican presidents and four out of the five were appointed by president Ronald Reagan. Rehnquist was appointed by president Nixon (R). I wonder why they voted the way they did.
How ironic to be such a slanted, biased video on bias and propaganda!! Hilarious...its really a spoof, isn't it? Great example to show, labeling, selection of sources, and other forms of bias to a class!
keep voting the Dems or Reps and nothing will ever change at least until the rules in which they work under are changed to be open and not taken advantage of. So If everyone would vote a third party and not a Dem or Rep, then change could very well happen.

This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I urge those to be cautious of people like asersf, whose declaration (conscious or not) may just as easily be a wedge to split up the votes. Republicans vote together, but the Democrats—often more open minded—tend to pursue other alternatives if results do not occur immediately. Republicans love apathetic voters, and they love those wasting their vote on third parties. There are those trying to allow a 3rd party in, but now is not yet the time. Vote 3rd, or don't vote and you give vote to pubs.
@WarCrime911 I would embrace a private discussion on such a stance through a more suitable means of correspondence. Also, thank you for uploading this documentary.
@WarCrime911 BULLSHIT..Democrats ARE republicans, there is NO FUCKING difference except in the mind of somebody who is brainwashed, the illusion that there is ANY difference at all is THE BRAINWASHING, the elites hold onto their control precisely because this illusion exists, if the elites have the ability to corrupt both parties, do you Ron Paul people seriously believe they aren't capable of fabricating a third party platform. They are selected to campaign only AFTER THEY ARE CORRUPTED!!!!
@dmts73 Well of course they have to be indoctrinated. You can not have someone in the party who does not share its views. They ensure that the person who becomes president is well groomed in the ways of the party and their contributors. The contributors are the only entities that these people are interested in placating....not the average citizen and most of these representatives are quite wealthy. How can they serve the average person when they are not the average person?
@listonanymous Reminder duly noted; though I find it little relevant for two reasons: 1: Ron Paul IS a Libertarian, running under the GOP ticket or not (he has run as such in the past). 2: There is no way he's getting elected by anything close to a majority from Republican voters—which is what he hopes. The issue I see is that the MSM supports and clings to religious conservatism too much for his move to work. They effectively divided their own party to make Ron Paul a viable candidate.
@Lennybird91 Completely flawed logic, it only happens this way because the majority believe it. As soon as we don't believe it, it goes away - it isn't there.
@climbnprana My apologies. What are you responding to, precisely—the notion that a 3rd party candidate could get in this election cycle? Frankly, if we go to semantics, I'm being a realist rather than idealist. In large, I tend to say a third party is the end-goal (but not a Libertarian IMO), but I realize it simply will not happen for reasons too complex for a you-tube discussion box beyond what you suggest (common belief perpetuating stagnation).
@Lennybird91 Voting for Barack Romney or Mitt Obama; six of one, half a dozen of the other. The only real choice for those wanting peace, prosperity and liberty is:
@KaptKan1 I politely disagree. You're reducing the very different personalities and situations for two separate human beings with illogical clichés. "The only real choice..." is a false dichotomy/dilemma. "six of one, half a dozen of the other" is overt-simplification by unfounded probability. We have to go a little deeper than catch-terms and incessant generalizations if we want to understand politics.
@Lennybird91 Overuse of rationalisations and sophistry is no substitute for recognition of fact. Here are some hard facts for you: Obama endorsed the bailouts of the banksters; he's a ward heeler from Chicago's Dailey Dem machine; he STILL hasn't closed Gitmo (as he promised to do); his policies are the same as those of the GOP neocons.
4 more years of war and police statism is not a good idea.
RON PAUL in 2012 for peace, prosperity and liberty!
@KaptKan1 "Liberty"? Paul is a libertarian. The fake libertarianism which Paul belongs to has little or nothing to do with "liberty". Where on earth would you have gotten an idea like this. Right-wing libertarian theory is the antithesis of liberty, and freedom as far as that goes. Left-wing Libertarianism i.e.the infinitely more moral, logical and rational school of thought has possibility. Paul's foreign policy is rational. And if he'd give up the "Austrian school" nonsense he might be ok.
@kropotkinbeard1 The "nonsense" is the socialism and stupid meddling in the market system which has brought us so much misery, poverty and debt. If you'd give up the leftist, Marxist nonsense you might be able to grasp what true liberty -- and libertarianism -- really means.
RON PAUL in 2012 for peace, prosperity and liberty!
"True liberty" is a police + post state? We're willing to pay for a baton to prevent a woman from getting an abortion but not food for her starving child? Prosperity is being the only industrial country without public healthcare? The US has a life expectancy tied with + an infant mortality rate below that of Cuba, a country with 1/14th the health expenditure per capita. Paul wants to fund abstinence only education when 75/1000 teens get pregnant in US (7/100 in Sweden).
@gamerunknown If you want to live in Cuba, GO THERE. It's not your right to force others to pay for your pet causes; that's tyranny, and you tyrants always have "good reasons" for it, but it's never justified and your holy causes are crap. The USA's problems are caused precisely because of the extent of government meddling in all aspects of life, and the welfare state contributes directly to the very poverty you leftists always claim to abhor. Sweden is a nightmare like Cuba.
Why would I want to live in Cuba? I live in a country with a higher expenditure on public healthcare and better quality of life outcomes (with under half the expenditure of the US, by the way). It's a ridiculous notion that those that don't adulate their country should leave it: they should work to improve it: I'm sure the monarchists told Thomas Paine to leave to France and I'm sure anarchocapitalists have been instructed to go to Somalia. What's wrong with Sweden?

@KaptKan1 Why would I go live in Cuba after the U.S. virtually drove it into the ground with the most extensive terror campaign in most of the world? True, just as an attempt to help relieve some of the tragedy Cuba has endured over the years I might consider going there. Hahaha..."Force others to pay your pet causes", like, healthcare ofr you, roads for you, computers for you, the Internet for you, and on and on...NONE of which exists were it not for the state. You live in a dream world, boy.
@KaptKan1 Haha...Yes, socialism is the problem, regardless of the fact that there is none, except for the wealthy. You know nothing about socialism, Marxism, or even libertarianism, boy, so quit posturing as some kind of enlightened soul. "Liberty" of the type that "libertarians" offer? Uhh...No thanks. Now, if you mean actual classical libertarianism, you may be onto something, but I doubt that you know what this is. So here is your history 101 lesson for the day. And, in advance, puullleeeease
@kropotkinbeard1 I'm older than you are, "boy", so why don't you quit with the gratuitous insults and claims of omniscience when all you are is a dogmatist without a cause.
And, of course, one of the more obnoxious kinds of snot-nosed trolls.
Endo of communications with you because... "Only a fool tries to educate an idiot." I'm no fool but you are one of the worst idiots I've ever seen trolling online.
@KaptKan1 Nothing remotely resembling "troll" anything. Trolling is where someone is cluttering the pages with things having nothing to do with the subject. I haven't done this once. I'm only reporting the facts. And, I doubt you are older than I, though it's possible. "Dogmatist without a cause" further demonstrates your undergraduate level attempt at a comeback. I most definitely have a cause, and I'm dogmatically against totalitrain ignorance. You know, the type of the right-libertarians.
@KaptKan1 But if you care to stop your whining and make your first argument, I'm waiting. And my nose is not "snot-filled". I just emptied it on each page of Atlas Shrugged. ALl clear and ready to go, boy. Read a book lately? G.A. Cohen perhaps? End of communications is one of the more infantile retreats, too. Trying to look as if you're too intelligent to engage someone who has already made you look silly, well, looks silly. So obvious you have no game. Name calling and running. Yes, leave...
@KaptKan1 ...don't even think about challenging the source, or whining about who it is, or anything else. I know all of the responses usually offered by droolers, and I simply don't need to see them and then have to spend a couple of days embarrassing you to prove that you don't know what you're talking about. ((Any bets he WILL do it anyway?)) You, are going to just listen the the basic facts, and then try and respond to them. Period.
@Lennybird91 No more voting for crap vs crap. I am sick and tired of this double bind. We are in this situation bc we set the bar lower and lower each time. Either we vote our conscience or we sell our souls to the devil. Stop voting for who you think will win. Vote for the person who EARNS your vote. Don't give it away to the least slimey person. Stand together and we can get a third party.
OW, the truth hurts. Being freed from the cable box for over a year now, I am able to do my own research without nasty old Rupert telling me what to think, do or buy. This is excellent. Three hours is only the equivalent of 2 brainless action movies. Look how the avalanche started under the senile Reagan regime. Deregulation is such doublespeak, doublethink. The Corporate States of America needs a new flag. Orwell isn't rolling, he's spinning in his grave.
Fantastic doc film...I've loaned my copy out to countless friends/family/co-workers.
"The enormous gap between what US leaders do in the world and what Americans think their leaders are doing is one of the great propaganda accomplishments of the dominant political mythology ...The real danger we face is not from terrorism, but what is being done under the pretext of fighting it." - Michael Parenti
if there ever was a clip, movie, documentary. that should go "VIRAL" this is it. Made WHEN "03" I never saw it and probably not many others have. Everyone should post to all your friends and every other source you can think of even you local news just to embarrass them or to say you know why they suck at reporting the truth .This is your children s future these assholes are f_CKING with DO YOU KNOW THERE ABOUT TO START ANOTHER WAR AND THAT WILL INVOLVE YOUR CHILDREN. HELP TO INFORM OTHERS
This states OVER 60% of Americans (2003) NO LONGER TRUST THE MEDIA OR THEIR GOVERNMENT LETS GET RID OF THEM ALL, START OVER, RESTORE OUR CONSTITUTION AND SANITY? THE TOP 1% are OBVIOUSLY CRIMINALLY INSANE! TURN OFF THE TV PEOPLE! Put an END to the murderous Rothschild, ETC WAR FOR PROFIT & FIAT BANKING CONTROL SPREE! FOREVER vigilant, as Our Founders GAVE US & PLEDGED, ENSURE A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC ! A REPUBLIC UNDER ALMIGHTY GOD THE RULE OF LAW! TO HELL W/ DEMOCRACY! WHICH IS OUR DEMISE!
1:29:24 We have to give the speaker credit for even speaking truthfully on this matter, but Look At The People In The Room... they are All just sitting there listening to this and really dont give a damn about what their hearing.
Wake up people! This isn't about democrats vs. republicans. Like M. Moore said at the beginning of this movie "the top 1% of American earners have two political parties representing their interests, the bottom 98% (all of us!) have zero parties representing their interests." Obama=Bush on all the policies that really matter: war, the Fed, corporate interests, "homeland security," the economy. Two puppets, one puppetmaster. Dr. Paul in 2012!
@aseyersf It's important to specify that, yes, *within mainstream electoral politics* the Dem/Repub split is illusory at best, strategically deceptive at worst. That doesn't mean, though, that there aren't significant psychological, ideological & moral variances among people, & that these factors, & the numerous personal & professional inducements that serve to manufacture consent & instill reflexive obedience to familiarity, do not weigh heavily on what's happened w/the US, & perceptions of it.
@TheeUnidentified do a search for "Judge Napolitano What If They Are Lying to Us" not quoted and listen to what he says, it's about the same thing you are saying.

Starting with Ronald Reagan, the Holy Grail of "de-regulation" has been sold to the public; and the news media has largely ignored its disastrous results. Mark Lloyd
Once the Reagan administration was done, there were more rules. But they called it "de-regulation." It's, err, almost an Orwellian use of language: You create new rules, but the rules change, they benefit industry now, and you call it "de-regulation," because people *like* de-regulation, like fewer rules.
Ordinarily I would agree with you. but, if one were to completely stop reading, watching, and buying from these major corporations, then one would become Amish by comparison. I'm beginning to see that there is NO LEGAL WAY to fix this problem because we're playing against a stacked deck. Not enough people care, and the people who do care are either problem causers, or to poor to compete. Short of a revolution, big brother isn't going anywhere.
umm...the big media corporations are entirely answerable to the people...don't watch or read their shit and don't buy anything advertised in their shit...granted this would further wreck the economy but since we worship capitalism it's a pain we'll have to deal with if we really want to solve the problem...remember in a war both sides take casualties not just the enemy...
I love how these media morons whine about the "republican machine" as if ALL media is right wing biased, instead of the other way around. Most media stories are anti capitalist, anti gun, pro abortion, and pro large, overbearing govt. Everyone from constitutionalists, tea partiers, and Ron Paul supporters are demonized as "loons", "racists", and "nazis". The media calls people who want constitutionally limited govt NAZIS?!!
I love how a bunch of democrats and socialists are in this film talking about the evils of "big brother" when their guy wasnt president. We now live in a time where the media is so sycophantic, and so complicit with the agenda of Obama that they have basically failed to report the damage he's done to this country. Also, America WAS a Republic, and is now an amalgam of fascism and soci-capitalism. These are leftist ideals, plain and simple. keep buying the lies that the statists care about YOU.
@o2ill seeing as how i am only given 500 characters, you should assume based on the content of my post that i already know that, jerkoff. I guess that would require critical thinking, something that an Obamaton like you is incapable of. Go drink more Kool Aid and leave the real work to the adults.
Rational adults do not resort to name calling - your comments here actually work against you. Having an opinion is something you're entitled to, but making decisions for society is something you should never attempt.
@o2ill Rational adults dont presume to judge the entirety of someone's knowledge based on a paragraph on youtube, and then end by chiding them to "do their homework". Having an opinion is something you're entitled to, but attempting to engage your brain before voicing said opinion is obviously something you never tried. I dont need lessons from a youtube troll about adulthood.
what is the run time for this documentary really? IMDb lists it as 84 minutes, this one is 3 hrs and there's a copy floating on torrent sites that's 103 mins. What's the difference?
The fact is that there are many smart people only caring for themselves rather than inspiring the truth to be valued and the liars and thieves be held accountable. Understanding democracy should be the first rule of entrance to official media and legislature.
Of course I've known all about this and have thought the curruption and distortion of our democracy has been completely overwhelming...but hearing all the details of how dastardly the tricks have been has left me a bit ill...Have to find the humor and lighten up the truth.
The problem is obviously the monetary system itself, all these problems are rooted in the ability to "profit", an outdated notion that promotes wasteful consumption of low shelf life goods that destroy our environment to make and aren't necessary, all for a fiat paper money of no inherent value. If we make it to the future, this time in history will be looked at in absurdity, and we will be dismissed from reference due to out immaturity. Watch Zeitgeist Addendum, and Zeitgeist Moving Forward...
@0hmyy0utubeusername Interesting but offering solution ideas for people might be a better way to focus...Its not enough to critisize; its time to focus on redirecting the conversation of laws.
@archangelum Term limits never lets the criminals pay for their abuse of power and leaves the CEO's continue their power from behind the scenes. Just having the enforcement for the abuse of power in public forums through out the country like should have been done from Nixon on through George Bush. Continuing to let the money say innocent while private jails profit from those who can't afford to defend themselves.
@rossvassilev How is corporate welfare stealing from the rich? Kelpop is correct in his/her statement. The rich love collectivism because it centralizes power, especially economic power.Maybe pick up a book to sort out your confusion. Road to Serfdom by FA Hayek is a good start ;)
@coldarkstare Marxists/socialists want to have power to the people (Stalin was an bureaucratic state-capitalist, socialism in one country is not socialism, because you have to compete still with other countries) We want that everybody is regarded as equal and has the same right, nobody is less nobody more. We live in a world of plenty and if Capitalist pigs (big corporations CEO bankers Rep. Dem.......) are forced out of there mighty places BY the people from below (the majority)
@MrOfficialmike I agree, with you. But, this will never be possible without changing the monitory system in America. Wall street controls America, the Congress, the Whitehouse and the CIA. I hate to say it, but Jews control Wall Street. So in reality, Judaism it controlling the USA.
@MrOfficialmike Please go and watch the documentary called: The Soviet Story
The system we currently have is not free market capitalism. Socialism has never worked, there are many examples of it ending in failure. The corporations and central bankers prefer socialism/communism, they love collectivised wealth, corporate welfare, private central banking, socialized medicine ect.
@kelpop12 Get your history straight man, this is Neo-Liberal Capitalism. Most Socialism states you prob. know, firstly, where not Socialism. These states had to compete with others and mostly they where poor, so like a small company you go for dictatorial suppression and take away rights/lives of workers (students, women, foreigner, ect.).
You had small glimpses of beginning Socialism
in Russia before Stalins bureaucracy, in sweet Paris '68, Hungary and much more
I find the guy talking from about 2:00:00 contradicting himself. At one point he states that its government policy which has acted as the facilitator for mass-media organisations to grow as big and pervasive as they have but then much later denounces free-market ideals.
@bballadante Cenk is an Idiot, Granted he has good Ideas, he can not grasp the root causes of the injustices we have today. The root cause is Government and he wants more of it!
Sounds like you're calling Cenk an idiot simply because you don't agree with him ... that isn't cool. I would submit to you that the root cause of injustice isn't government BUT corrupt politicians within our in so-called democratic system. Aided by big business and the wealthiest of the wealthiest these corrupt politicians have gamed the system to only benefit the rich and powerful ... everyone else is left to scratch and claw for the scraps under the table.
@o2ill No, Im calling him an idiot because he doesnt understand the root causes of the problems hes so vocal about, So his solutions call for the same government philosophy that caused the social and economic imbalances in our brave new world.
If you were able to sit down with Cenk - my guess is that he'd be very clear in the type of government he supports - and I'm speaking for him here, but that being one composed of honest and ethical statesmen as opposed to the corrupt actors we see today posing as politicians concerned about the interests of the people.
@o2ill Im pretty sure that If Cenk and I would sit down, we'd have a lot in common and would be able to point out all that is wrong with our current system....the differences is that he wants to try the same thing thing and actually expects different outcomes, while I wanna try other more Logical and sensible approach to what ails our society.
I agree about Ruport Murdoch, but Fox news is the only right-leaning news stations in the states. You can't tell me that the rest of the media isn't or doesn't have a liberal bias? Look how bad MSNBC is or how bad NPR is? And this video has socialists like Sanders arguing that the right leaning media is what the Communists had. Nice try, but that's the tea calling the kettle black sort of thing.
This documentary has some good points about what is going on in the media, but they are trying to reframe it as something that the libs are not a part of and that deregulation is what causes these problems therefore Capitalism is bad. That's NOT true free market Capitalism, and true free mkt Captalism is something we never had thanks to the neocons and the liberal "progressive" socialists.
@funk7000 so called "liberals" and "conservatives" represent the same corporate interests. the problem with the Free Market that is never existed. the Republicans pay much lip service to it bc its popular concept w their voters. Right/ left, conserv/democr both present the SAME politican and economic interests but they have to compete for voters. when u not "allowed" to talk about corporate power, class, inequality. what do u do? you have ppl like Chris Mattews/ Bill O'raily, Wall Street Journal
@funk7000 In this world of Bill ORaily/ Chris Mattews, Wall street journal in their vision of Left vs. Right, Liberals vs. Conserv. becomes, Liberals: Ivy Lea. intellectuals who believe in gay right and abortion rights. they are rich ppl who dont like going to church. Conservatives: hard working beer drinking God fearing working class who believes in America, God, and kicking ass. Guess what gets NOT talked about wages reduced at the same time as prodctiviy increased ect
@onealreid1 The notion that each person is equal to a media outlet is like saying that choices for leaving the country are the same as the Binladen family on 9-11.
If Corporations have the right of personhood how come they don't have to produce a birth certificate to spend on our elections?
Hearing all the details of my intuition shown to be clearly right is a spark.
Somehow we must have a list of all public access areas in every political contest.
Everything is Zionist owned; Orwell didnt mention the Zionist who own us through their ownership of Central Banks; when Americans realize this fact it would ve been too late
It is difficult for people in suits to recognize anything but formal (and most times) dysfunctional terms. That means it's impossible for them to conceptualize or conceptually recognize anything outside of the parameters or "Great Walls" of selfish or greedy in parcing of power. The manipulated tech of which i speak is the one we use most. "Thermodynamics" Then there is what religion has done to Jesus and how they turn that around. "i'm incensed"! What am i speaking of? heat recovery tech.
@hypnofan35 Now i am going to step up and talk like Jesus; Here we go: "Common knowledge tends to threaten truth, with death if it does not conform". It is as if belief and truth are mortal enemies but belief will win with death to truth, after some torturous treatments and derision for not "obeying all the foolishness of the hierarchals". They'll be coming for me now. Basically it means that group belief tends to make truth superfluous to common reality.
@hypnofan35 One of the "energy strategies" that is employed is the ability to keep the consumer from consolidating energy resources. You could get your heat power and water from a single natural gas generating operation. The point is: They all come from a natual gas electric power generating operation if you don't discard the waste product. In this case heat and water. One thing we are never told or learn is that heat and cold can be well manipulated with insulalted water reservoir tech.

Churches in Spain celebrated Hitler's birth up to 1968.
gamerunknown 1 month ago

If you watch this film and are still confused about who should get your vote, you were not paying attention. Watch it again. The person who should get your vote is the person the media never mentions as a viable candidate for President. So far, I am going with Rocky Anderson. Colbert or Bernie Sanders.
theboysmom09 1 month ago
Everyone must understand it is not Republican vs Democrat. It is the media and the political machine VS US. The media and every single politician except a rare few, are out to pull a sting on us. This is a huge fraud pulled on us all. Yet people keep tuning into MSNBC, FOX, CNN which pulls all common sense out of their brains. Critical thinking dies. That is what this film shows.
We keep watching the boob tube. We are in real, deep trouble. This is serious & getting worse. WAKE UP I BEG YOU!

jaksngreen 2 months ago in playlist Favorite videos
@jaksngreen Your inability to compose yourself suggests some serious cracks in your maturity level, which leads me to believe you have little understanding of what's going on in the realm of politics. You forfeit respect when you start name-calling. Do you really think I haven't considered that outlook? At one point I certainly did. But then I stopped simplifying politics and started to actually pay attention.
Lennybird91 1 month ago
@Lennybird91 How you can say that Democrats are the same is beyond my comprehension—an egregrious claim which greatly skews the contrast between the two parties. You may want to review some of the legislation put through in the past to understand where their differences lie: Democrats are by and large center-right conservatives; most progressives/libs have been feeling their representation is falling short.
Lennybird91 1 month ago
@Lennybird91 But that's due to external influences. It's due to people like "REWHBLCAIN," whose yt bio claims he's a registered lobbyists that is likely for special-interests beyond what you or I care about, but primarily to make some sort of financial gain at the expense of everyone else.
Lennybird91 1 month ago
@Lennybird91 It's the mainstream news media bantering and mudslinging problems—primarily derived from Fox news that causes democrats to tred water... To bend or to break. t's the millions of dollars NECESSARY to get reelected—which means appealing to lobbyists/corporations. Jeffrey Sachs made note that this is changing, but that will only happen when the youth take politics seriously and the television is washed out of its sheep of seniors.
Lennybird91 1 month ago
@Lennybird91 You have to play by the rules of the game before you can change them. I want third-parties running, too, but we've boxed ourselves in to a two-party system. The GOP must get wiped off in the elections first before any change at the booths can legitimately happen.
Lennybird91 1 month ago
@Lennybird91 RP will not get the republican nomination—he's too much of a fringe for them and their established christian right and social conservative voting class (which exceeds the base of RP) of Pubs. So what's bound to occur is that RP will run under a 3rd party ticket. You will continue to vote Ron Paul and split the democratic base—greatly ignoring the logic behind voting for not just the best candidate, but the most probable best candidate.

I noticed something about G.W. Bush and the election decision of 2000 by the Supreme Court. This comment has received too many negative votes show
I urge those to be cautious of people like asersf, whose declaration (conscious or not) may just as easily be a wedge to split up the votes. Republicans vote together, but the Democrats—often more open minded—tend to pursue other alternatives if results do not occur immediately. Republicans love apathetic voters, and they love those wasting their vote on third parties. There are those trying to allow a 3rd party in, but now is not yet the time. Vote 3rd, or don't vote and you give vote to pubs.

listonanymous 3 months ago
@listonanymous Reminder duly noted; though I find it little relevant for two reasons: 1: Ron Paul IS a Libertarian, running under the GOP ticket or not (he has run as such in the past). 2: There is no way he's getting elected by anything close to a majority from Republican voters—which is what he hopes. The issue I see is that the MSM supports and clings to religious conservatism too much for his move to work. They effectively divided their own party to make Ron Paul a viable candidate.
Lennybird91 3 months ago
@Lennybird91 Completely flawed logic, it only happens this way because the majority believe it. As soon as we don't believe it, it goes away - it isn't there.
climbnprana 1 month ago
@climbnprana My apologies. What are you responding to, precisely—the notion that a 3rd party candidate could get in this election cycle? Frankly, if we go to semantics, I'm being a realist rather than idealist. In large, I tend to say a third party is the end-goal (but not a Libertarian IMO), but I realize it simply will not happen for reasons too complex for a you-tube discussion box beyond what you suggest (common belief perpetuating stagnation).

RON PAUL in 2012!
KaptKan1 1 month ago
@KaptKan1 I politely disagree. You're reducing the very different personalities and situations for two separate human beings with illogical clichés. "The only real choice..." is a false dichotomy/dilemma. "six of one, half a dozen of the other" is overt-simplification by unfounded probability. We have to go a little deeper than catch-terms and incessant generalizations if we want to understand politics.
Lennybird91 1 month ago
@Lennybird91 Overuse of rationalisations and sophistry is no substitute for recognition of fact. Here are some hard facts for you: Obama endorsed the bailouts of the banksters; he's a ward heeler from Chicago's Dailey Dem machine; he STILL hasn't closed Gitmo (as he promised to do); his policies are the same as those of the GOP neocons.
4 more years of war and police statism is not a good idea.
RON PAUL in 2012 for peace, prosperity and liberty!
KaptKan1 1 month ago 8
@KaptKan1 "Liberty"? Paul is a libertarian. The fake libertarianism which Paul belongs to has little or nothing to do with "liberty". Where on earth would you have gotten an idea like this. Right-wing libertarian theory is the antithesis of liberty, and freedom as far as that goes. Left-wing Libertarianism i.e.the infinitely more moral, logical and rational school of thought has possibility. Paul's foreign policy is rational. And if he'd give up the "Austrian school" nonsense he might be ok.
kropotkinbeard1 1 month ago
@kropotkinbeard1 The "nonsense" is the socialism and stupid meddling in the market system which has brought us so much misery, poverty and debt. If you'd give up the leftist, Marxist nonsense you might be able to grasp what true liberty -- and libertarianism -- really means.
RON PAUL in 2012 for peace, prosperity and liberty!
KaptKan1 1 month ago
@KaptKan1
Paul wants to fund abstinence only education when 75/1000 teens get pregnant in US (7/100 in Sweden).
gamerunknown 1 month ago
@gamerunknown If you want to live in Cuba, GO THERE. It's not your right to force others to pay for your pet causes; that's tyranny, and you tyrants always have "good reasons" for it, but it's never justified and your holy causes are crap. The USA's problems are caused precisely because of the extent of government meddling in all aspects of life, and the welfare state contributes directly to the very poverty you leftists always claim to abhor. Sweden is a nightmare like Cuba.
KaptKan1 1 month ago
@KaptKan1

@aseyersf It's important to specify that, yes, *within mainstream electoral politics* the Dem/Repub split is illusory at best, strategically deceptive at worst. That doesn't mean, though, that there aren't significant psychological, ideological & moral variances among people, & that these factors, & the numerous personal & professional inducements that serve to manufacture consent & instill reflexive obedience to familiarity, do not weigh heavily on what's happened w/the US, & perceptions of it.

The media calls people who want constitutionally limited govt NAZIS?!!
jteutulsr 9 months ago
I love how a bunch of democrats and socialists are in this film talking about the evils of "big brother" when their guy wasnt president. We now live in a time where the media is so sycophantic, and so complicit with the agenda of Obama that they have basically failed to report the damage he's done to this country. Also, America WAS a Republic, and is now an amalgam of fascism and soci-capitalism. These are leftist ideals, plain and simple. keep buying the lies that the statists care about YOU.

@jteutulsr
The corporatocracy was in charge way before President Obama was elected...come on man do your homework.
o2ill 8 months ago 2
@o2ill seeing as how i am only given 500 characters, you should assume based on the content of my post that i already know that, jerkoff. I guess that would require critical thinking, something that an Obamaton like you is incapable of. Go drink more Kool Aid and leave the real work to the adults.
jteutulsr 8 months ago
@jteutulsr
Rational adults do not resort to name calling - your comments here actually work against you. Having an opinion is something you're entitled to, but making decisions for society is something you should never attempt.
o2ill 8 months ago

Four legs good, two legs better. Orwell was right. TERM LIMITS NOW!
archangelum 10 months ago

MrOfficialmike 1 year ago
@MrOfficialmike I agree, with you. But, this will never be possible without changing the monitory system in America. Wall street controls America, the Congress, the Whitehouse and the CIA. I hate to say it, but Jews control Wall Street. So in reality, Judaism it controlling the USA.

@marvingo49 Someone is a bit bigoted.
seiferganon 1 year ago
@MrOfficialmike Please go and watch the documentary called: The Soviet Story
The system we currently have is not free market capitalism. Socialism has never worked, there are many examples of it ending in failure. The corporations and central bankers prefer socialism/communism, they love collectivised wealth, corporate welfare, private central banking, socialized medicine ect.
kelpop12 11 months ago
@kelpop12 Get your history straight man, this is Neo-Liberal Capitalism. Most Socialism states you prob. know, firstly, where not Socialism. These states had to compete with others and mostly they where poor, so like a small company you go for dictatorial suppression and take away rights/lives of workers (students, women, foreigner, ect.).
You had small glimpses of beginning Socialism
in Russia before Stalins bureaucracy, in sweet Paris '68, Hungary and much more
International and from below!

I find the guy talking from about 2:00:00 contradicting himself. At one point he states that its government policy which has acted as the facilitator for mass-media organisations to grow as big and pervasive as they have but then much later denounces free-market ideals.

Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks hosted The Ed Show (on MSNBC), and called out GE on they're tax evasions. Everyone should check out their channel.
bballadante 1 year ago 5
@bballadante Cenk is an Idiot, Granted he has good Ideas, he can not grasp the root causes of the injustices we have today. The root cause is Government and he wants more of it!
Mruiz201 8 months ago
@Mruiz201
Sounds like you're calling Cenk an idiot simply because you don't agree with him ... that isn't cool. I would submit to you that the root cause of injustice isn't government BUT corrupt politicians within our in so-called democratic system. Aided by big business and the wealthiest of the wealthiest these corrupt politicians have gamed the system to only benefit the rich and powerful ... everyone else is left to scratch and claw for the scraps under the table.
o2ill 8 months ago
@o2ill No, Im calling him an idiot because he doesnt understand the root causes of the problems hes so vocal about, So his solutions call for the same government philosophy that caused the social and economic imbalances in our brave new world.
Mruiz201 8 months ago
@Mruiz201
If you were able to sit down with Cenk - my guess is that he'd be very clear in the type of government he supports - and I'm speaking for him here, but that being one composed of honest and ethical statesmen as opposed to the corrupt actors we see today posing as politicians concerned about the interests of the people.
o2ill 8 months ago
@o2ill Im pretty sure that If Cenk and I would sit down, we'd have a lot in common and would be able to point out all that is wrong with our current system....the differences is that he wants to try the same thing thing and actually expects different outcomes, while I wanna try other more Logical and sensible approach to what ails our society.
Mruiz201 8 months ago
@bballadante-GE owns MSNBC right?
BLACKPUSSYPUNISHER 6 months ago
@BLACKPUSSYPUNISHER Yea, 7 months ago, when I wrote that, GE owned MSNBC. I think a few months ago Comcast bought out either NBC or MSNBC.
bballadante 6 months ago
I agree about Ruport Murdoch, but Fox news is the only right-leaning news stations in the states. You can't tell me that the rest of the media isn't or doesn't have a liberal bias? Look how bad MSNBC is or how bad NPR is? And this video has socialists like Sanders arguing that the right leaning media is what the Communists had. Nice try, but that's the tea calling the kettle black sort of thing.
funk7000 1 year ago
This documentary has some good points about what is going on in the media, but they are trying to reframe it as something that the libs are not a part of and that deregulation is what causes these problems therefore Capitalism is bad. That's NOT true free market Capitalism, and true free mkt Captalism is something we never had thanks to the neocons and the liberal "progressive" socialists.
funk7000 1 year ago
@funk7000 so called "liberals" and "conservatives" represent the same corporate interests. the problem with the Free Market that is never existed. the Republicans pay much lip service to it bc its popular concept w their voters. Right/ left, conserv/democr both present the SAME politican and economic interests but they have to compete for voters. when u not "allowed" to talk about corporate power, class, inequality. what do u do? you have ppl like Chris Mattews/ Bill O'raily, Wall Street Journal
dharmaatdawn 5 months ago
@funk7000 In this world of Bill ORaily/ Chris Mattews, Wall street journal in their vision of Left vs. Right, Liberals vs. Conserv. becomes, Liberals: Ivy Lea. intellectuals who believe in gay right and abortion rights. they are rich ppl who dont like going to church. Conservatives: hard working beer drinking God fearing working class who believes in America, God, and kicking ass. Guess what gets NOT talked about wages reduced at the same time as prodctiviy increased ect
dharmaatdawn 5 months ago 2
@funk7000 That is true, but Fox controles 90 per cent of the market.

What am i speaking of? heat recovery tech.
hypnofan35 1 year ago
@hypnofan35 Now i am going to step up and talk like Jesus; Here we go: "Common knowledge tends to threaten truth, with death if it does not conform". It is as if belief and truth are mortal enemies but belief will win with death to truth, after some torturous treatments and derision for not "obeying all the foolishness of the hierarchals". They'll be coming for me now. Basically it means that group belief tends to make truth superfluous to common reality.
hypnofan35 1 year ago
@hypnofan35 One of the "energy strategies" that is employed is the ability to keep the consumer from consolidating energy resources. You could get your heat power and water from a single natural gas generating operation. The point is: They all come from a natual gas electric power generating operation if you don't discard the waste product. In this case heat and water. One thing we are never told or learn is that heat and cold can be well manipulated with insulalted water reservoir tech.
