Well Mr JROTC, Ive gotta say that Im not too terribly impressed with your little patty-cake routines, completely overweight losers, wall of ribbons, rediculous "uniforms", and the disrespect that some of you show the DIs. I was just at SCIDM a couple days ago, and by and large I felt embarassed to be associated with a lot of you.

When you come to college and have to balance college classes, normal ROTC coursework, and extra-curricular ROTC activities, you might have a clue about what you are saying. By the way, we use 10.5 lb rifles, not the ultra-light ones that most JROTC units use. And we only get to practice 2-3 times per week.

Not all jrotc use thos "ultra-light" rifles you speak of.There is also no such things as 10.5 lBS. rifle,The M1 Garand is 9.5 pounds and the springfield which is replacing a lot of m1s in jrotc units is 8.5 pounds.I would know,I am the Armed Commander for my unit.also yes we are inhigh school but that doesn't mean we don't have trouble balancing practice,and we also practice 2-3 times a week.You should think before you type.

Well, considering that I was the Exec. Officer for my drill team, I think that I would probably know how much our rifles weigh. A few, in fact, weighed close to 11 lbs. Just how exactly would you know how much our rifles weigh? Did you weigh them yourself? An operational M1 may be 9.5 lbs, but these are non-operational (aka cement in the barrel, different stocks).

As for your balancing act, again, don't compare it to college until you get here. Its far harder and takes far more effort to pull off.

sorry for the language but, Bullshit, our rifles have been demilitarized as well,I have looked it up so as when i say it i don't look like a dumbass,look forget how much it weighs,stop bitching and just do what your supposed to do . by the way maybe you need more motivated people if your bitchin about practice, my team had 2 days of an hour and a half practice and we came out with a trophy so do what you have to do...
