I've known that I was different since 5. I'm bi and knew it since then. I mean I was actually doing stuff with other male friends at that age, not sure why but it definitely messed my head up a bit but that's who I was and am, bi.
wow Kade.. u really made me actually listen to you word for word the whole time.. not once did i doze off & not pay any attention.. i haven't come out to my friends yet, only to my family & they are are really supportive.. now that i've all of the vids for this weeks topic, it has made me think that i don't have to come out until i'm ready to, there's no rush.
Hi Kade, great video as usual, love you on the more serious topics. Just wondering, you were saying how you had been brought up by women and there wasn't such a strong male influence. I know quite a few people who are uncertain about gay adoption (but not gay marriage) because they think perhaps there ought to be a gender balance. I'd be interested to know what your thoughts are on this. <3
I think you can't really know your sexual orientation until puberty. Body language and behavior are not reliable clues - you need to know who you are sexually attracted to.
I think gender alignment can be known at a much earlier age - people start to experientially know their gender from the age of about 3 or 4.
They do have hormone blockers for females too, just to put that out there. Aaaaand thanks for the imput, Kade. I agree with you. =) I love the Beaver Bunch! And this week was just really great. Awesome topic about age and being GLBTQ.
do you still have pics of u from back in the day..when u were a teen..as a girl?..im kinda curious of how u were as a girl...and just for the record ur cute as hell now!..lol..
I just think at that age your too young to make that kind of decision you should wait until your 18 because there's no going back from that if u decide that this is not for you just wait until your at least 18 and if you still want to do it then go head but at 13 your just too young
It would be much easier if the decision could be left until you are 18 - but he problem with that is that from the age of about 13 your body's hormones start making you into a man or a woman - and by the age of 18 the decision has already been made for you by your body. The only way you could keep the option to decide at 18 would be if you took hormone blockers from the age of 13 so that you still had the body of a child when you became 18 - which has its own problems.
I get what you're saying how they might think they are because it's more accepting now of days.
Like if Jill thinks a girl is pretty today she might be like, "oh i thought she was pretty! Am I lesbian!?" Because the subject is much more talked about as well.
hormone inhibitors for pre-teen girls do exist, as they do for boys.
however, i believe they're used by endocrinologist for dealing with height issues (i.e., to allow said child to reach a higher height). i'm not so sure every endocrinologist would issue them for trans-usage, because of the big influence it has on a person's height...
Yeah. When I was 10 I always wished I had a penis. I still do want one. But, the medical and technology we have don't have it. =/ Darn. I feel like I should have been born a Hermophrodite(sp?), not a male or a female. Just an It.
I find it funny how like three of the related videos are songs called Age Ain't Nothing But A Number

Oh, anyone who is trans should or if you're not trans
"Luna" is a novel about a transgendered guy and his life and transitioning.
I'm straight and all, but I find this so interesting.
Good luck to everybody going through these struggles <3
Great video Kade. :)

You can't, you can only make changes to testosterone levels to block out the effects estrogen has on a female with natural testosterone levels
