Where was the tea party protests before obama's presidency when taxes were higher and the state of the economy was even MORE grim.
Oh wait, thats right, they were ROOTING for the stuff that got us into this mess in the first place.
YOU idiots got us into this mess, and now you're laying the blame on a president who has not even spent 2 years in office to fix a fucking the diplomatic and economic damage the republican party caused
I see these tea parties as nothing but butthurt ignorant repubs

Typical of "so called conservatives" scream and yell NO TAXES, are quick to start never-ending wars, unwilling to pay for them, instead want more tax cuts. That's why our national debt went from 5.7trillion to 10.6 trillion under Bush. Not to mention the trillions in bailouts to fix the crashed economy their failed policies created in the first place. Don't believe me? EDUCATE YOURSELF
GOOGLE US treasury website: "us treasury debt to the penny" SEE FOR YOURSELF.
You admit your not an economist, but are completely against Keynesianism without providing any other reason than typical Republican sound bites like big government spending and higher taxes. Didn't you read any Plato in your time at the U of C?
"We The People" are silent no more, let your "voices" be heard from mountain top to mountain top and sea to shinning sea,,,only through our voices can we lift the bondage we all suffer!
Robert Gibbs said the White House was "amused" by the tea parties, but that "nobody out there is making $250,000 a year" as if that were somehow relevant.
President Obama said that he was "completely unaware" of the tea party protests. How can it be that the president could be "unaware" of a grass-roots protest movement of this size and scope? Doesn't he have a TV?
ThoughtsfromaTexan? I've been to Texas -- some nice people and a heck of a lot of crazies. We've all seen and experienced the "leadership" our last president provided. You might considering changing your nick if you wish anyone to seiously listen to you.
A very small number of taxpayers -- the 10% of the country that makes more than $92,400 a year -- pay 72.4% of the nation's total income taxes.
In 2001, 43 million Americans, who earn less than $30,500, made 13.5% of the nation's income but paid no income tax. Instead, they received checks from their taxpaying neighbors worth $16.3 billion. By 2005, those checks totaled $33.3 billion.
I can't help thinking this is a a republican vs democrat thing, than it is an actual, "I care about spending," thing. I don't think these people cared when it was Bush who was doing the spending, but now that a democrat is doing it, all of a sudden they care. No offense, I don't know these people personally, I don't know their intentions. I oppose wasteful spending too. But the fact that tea party protests are occurring now, instead of 4 years ago, I think, lessens their credibility.
OMG too funny I just found out you are protesting the bush tax code no tax payer will be paying a new obama tax rate to funny you guys lol found at Cnn MSNBC and huffington post OMG what a riot you are protesting bush not obama lolololol
and dont forget if you have medicare and dont want socializm better get off it cause it is socialist
right we are protesting bush. and obama. and clinton. and bush. and all presidents since JFK. Its all fucked, we're on the wrong path, and a group of super wealthy runs the show behind obama, and you ain't in the group.
Please heed the warnings that there will in fact be a concerted effort to infiltrate and hijack these tea party rallies. Take a bit of advice and please implement some form of security to insure the integrity of these rallies.

Joseph "Tex" Dozier is the first mentally handicapped person i have ever seen with a megaphone ! HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD BE UNEMPLOYED I WONDER... if there were no bailouts?
dont protest obama just to try to be cool, it ain't happening.
Yes wouldn't have been easier to just give all that money to the people to put into the economy. I didn't blame the government when I became unemployed and I don't blame them for not being able to find a job. The government can't solve economic problems, but they can make it worse.
Better cops and schools start at the LOCAL government. My city is very unfriendly to businesses, which is why it has the highest unemployment rate in the state. The issue is not Rep vs. Dem. The issue is wasteful spending on companies that should have failed due to poor management. The issue is wasting money to pay for "the losers' mortgages." Money from those who play by the rules. Most of the tea party attendees opposed Bush's $850 Billion bailout.
organizers claimed a thousand people at the alleged tea party, you say 500. these guys are counting people walking by on their lunch hours as supporters.
what a joke, every poll including gallup, faux noise, the wall street journal and newsweek ALL say the American People overwhelmingly approve of President Obama and his economic policies.
KataVideo: I don't care if the American people overwhelmingly consider jumping off the Sears Tower as way of fun and recreation. The TRILLIONS of dollars Obama wants to spend DOES NOT EXIST! We the taxpayer are footing the bill for those who chose not to play by the rules. There are other ways to settle mortgage debt without bailouts. I guess the overwhelming majority (and their CHILDREN!) won't mind an increase in their taxes to subsidize this.
neither did the trillions bush wasted on the war in the country that didn't/couldn't attack us, but I don't remember you guys bitching back then.
"I guess the overwhelming majority (and their CHILDREN!) won't mind an increase in their taxes.."
I wonder if the CHILDREN of the 4260+ American troops killed in bush's war would like healthcare, more cops and firefighters, better schools, a repaired infrastructure, etc etc.
cons have no problem kiting checks to kill, but never to help Americans.
Living here in the States I might see your point. If I were an Iraqi citizen living under the thumb of Saddam Hussein I would disagree. How many Iraqis are better of now than four years ago. I am not turning a blind eye to Bush's out of control spending, either. The issue is taxation. We are overtaxed. 25% of our nation's wealthiest pay over 86% of our federal taxes. Congress said Bush's deficit was 500 Billion. So far, Obama has planned to spend up to 10 TRILLION.
few, if any iraqis are better off today that four years ago, or 8 years ago. poll after poll came out in the bush years showing iraqis thought they were better off under the dictator than with warring factions in their neighborhoods. Iraq had a middle class; it left. 1.5 million were forced into syria, egypt, jordan and other mideast countries, 2.7 million are internal refugees. electricity is still sketchy, clean water is still iffy.
not the way you see it. your view of taxation has been proven a complete and abject failure in the real world.
"25% of our nation's wealthiest pay over 86% of our federal taxes."
I doubt your figures, but if so, that's not high enough. But I hope some of these spoiled parasite billionaires follow through with their threats to "go galt". good riddance!
like I said, cons never have a problem floating checks to kill people, but never to help Americans.
I was against Bush's bailout in Sept 2008. As for the children of the soldiers, they will be paying more in taxes as well. Just because they are the sons and daughters of our slain men and women of uniform won't exempt them from paying higher taxes. Government has become a bloated pig, spending our (yours and mine) taxes for nearly 9,000 earmarks. Health care? Start on tort reform. More cops, better schools? Suspend the cap gains tax, higher better teachers, cirriculum reform.
