AHHHH! GIANT OCTO! When I first played this game, I ran into that same octo without a way to fight it. I got so scared that I turned the game off and didn't play for at least a month. Those things STILL scare the hell out of me to this day and they are the main reason why I have never completed this game 100%

At least you can't die when you fight them. They just spit you onto a random square I think.

The great deku tree in this game was maybe the new deku tree after the old deku tree died in Ocarina of time. Well, the order of the timeline in Legend of zelda game is diffrent story. So we are not entirely sure if this deku tree was the new one or the old one.

@shadic57 Once the Deku Tree died a sprout fell into the ground. Once you come back as adult Link you see that it has grown into the predecessor to the Great Deku Tree.

@blueravenvg You obviously don't know a lot about zelda games do you? No, you don't kill the Great Deku Tree. He's your friend a matter of fact. It was Ganon that put a curse on the Deku tree and his life was being drained. Once the Deku Tree told Link what to do, he died. Once dead a sprout fell from the Deku tree and started to grow. Once you beat shadow Ganon 7 years later and return to the Deku tree, you see that the sprout you saw 7 years ago had grown into the predecessor of the Deku Tree.

Ganon put a curse on the forest temple and that made the tree die due to his powers being drained by gohma also... so it was the forest temple and gohma :( that's why he died you couldn't stop both of them at a time and it was to late anyways >.<

i'm pretty sure you can use your grappling hook.. to hit the eyes. and i know you can use the hookshot, arrows (ice normal and fire when you get them), and bombs but the bobs aren't the only way to defeat them :)

Then A giant squid thing just gets out of the water and somehow makes it all cloudy and makes a whirlpool which is sucking me in very slowly to the center and there isn't a single thing I can do about it. You dont have to worry about sidequests too much. There are special maps that help you with those (like the sea platforms, the subs, and so on)
