All departing actors receive a copy of the "Phantom of the Opera" home game, a year's supply of Turtle Wax, and Rice-A-Roni, the San Francisco treat...
John Cudia was my "first Phantom." He's the first one I saw live so he really holds a special place for me in terms of Phantom lore. I met him at stage door and he couldn't have been a nicer guy. He was lovely. It would've been great to have seen Jennifer as well. She gets my vote as arguably the most beautiful ALW Christine, and she has a wonderful voice as well. =)
Two years ago I went to NY and saw phantom of the opera in which the played. I was impressed by their voices absolutely much better than most of singers on TV. I wanted to see them again. I miss them.
Ah! ha! The Phantom FINALLY got Christine in the end! Cheers! Thank you so much for posting this! Cudia is with out a doubt, for me, the best Live AWL phantom EVER!!! This was so beautiful and poignent! I am literally in tears.
Aww....Jen Willis looks so sad....is it true that she's the longest running Christine on Broadway?....Unfortunatley I didn't see her when I saw Phantom....I would have liked to, but I saw her alternate Marni Raab instead....but Marni was good too! I really wish I could have been there to actually see this!
@71crm Actually Sandra Joseph is the longest running Christine. Yeah Jen does look sad. I don't blame her, doing six shows a week it's like the phantom cast was her second family.
@71crm Jennifer is a dear dear friend and I can tell you that she was very sad on this night. Is was the end of a life long dream. She and her parents always dreamed that she would play this role on Broadway and she lived that dream for over 4 years so she was very sad. I don't believe she was the longest running Christine but she was probably one of the longest running.
@jtcarey2 What's Jen (or does she prefer to be called Jennifer?) doing these days? I went on Facebook and saw a picture of her with her son.....she has such a pretty child because she is such a beautiful girl!
@jtcarey2 Jennifer is such a sweet person she gave me her blessing to do this animated adaptation of Phantom, and lately I've been trying to say to myself about my dream is that if Jennifer could make her dream come true so can I!!!
@charstar1989 i'm also really hoping that someone has all or at least most of John and Jennifer's final night, i would LOVE to see it...(i would even punjab someone for it!! okay, maybe i wouldn't go quite that far...but still!!)
@shmily575 Actually I want to write to him because what I want to say to him is pretty personal and I don't want it going up on a website where everyone can see it. My friend actually found his home address, but I'm wondering if it's right to do that or not
@71crm That would probably be inappropriate and his family might see it as a little stalker-like, even though that's not your intention at all. On Facebook, you can message him without posting it on a wall for everyone to see.
@71crm Do a "friend" search for "John Cudia". He has fans on his page so you should be able to find it. You can "Friend Request" him and then send a note with your friend request (I think there's a little thing in the lower left corner of the "friend request" box that you can click on), or you can click on "Send a message" which will also be on his page under his picture.
@71crm i believe you can also mail letters and stuff to the majestic theater in NYC and they will forward it to him. (that's what i'm planning on doing)
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm lucky that I live about 1 hr outside Manhattan. I saw Phantom in June w/a friend and John's performance was so mesmerizing, I went to see it again about 2 weeks ago. I met him at the stage door, and he was a complete sweetie! I considered going to this last perf, but I couldn't make it. So glad I can see it now.
wow, thank you for taping this....my son and I were there and tears were just flowing down my face....this was a performance beyond words and two people that will be so missed!!
If only I could've gotten the chance to see him perform just once (living in socal sucks when it comes to this)...I wouldn't be this miserable =*(...well id still be sad b/c he is such an AMAZING Phantom but at least I would've known how magnificent it would have been to see him live). I wish him the absolute best of luck in all future projects and hopefully one day he returns to the show. I'm pretty sure I will not be the only one waiting with open arms. Farwell John Broadway will miss you!
Aww....That's so sweet and beautiful! I loved John as the Phantom when I saw him, and now I really regret that I didn't go to the stagedoor to meet him afterward!

@ICCKidsWorship Dear Lord, no, anything from that. They need to stay far, far, FAR away from Love Never Dies. Complete crap. Saw it and hated it.
