Aren't calving glaciers amazing? The sounds they make and everything. The best footage I've ever seen is in a DVD called "Alaska, The Tracy Arm Experience", which can be found on Film Baby. It's available for download. Check it out! It has VERY RARE calving events.

I belive the fact that the glacier is falling into the water is proof is growing and moving from the extra added snow and ice further up. Thus disproving this has anything to do with global warming. I wish you other people would think. If it was not calving it would be because its not moving! thus no added snow and ice. Anyways global warming is just a SCAM.

so hold on. there are trips where u just go on a boat and wait for this to happen? are there forecasts or peek times or something? :S cus u cud be there for two days and nothing might happen...

@deaflistener Nah - there are trips that bring you to a load of different glaciers. you usually see some calving, not necessarily huge. But you get to see glaciers meeting the see, whales, wlidlife etc,
