  • It was criminal that the current operastors pulled up the original parquet wood floor underneath the carpet instead of trying to restore it. Plus there's so much more that needs to be done in this room to qualify as a complete "restoration". I'm sorry if I sound highly critical, but it pains me to see what has been done to this magnificent ship since she's been in Long Beach.

  • Really happy to see this beautiful room(Main Lounge-1st class) restored somewhat more closely to original appearance(golden autumnal tones). The golden stage curtains are great- if they can replace the side window curtains it will be even better. Nice green toned carpets w/leaf prints. There also originally were sofas w/drum shade floor lamps at each side window. Keep up the great restoration work!.

  • Once one of the most beautiful rooms created- golden "autumn" tones via maple burl wall paneling, and reddish makore columns + dadoe(lower wall). Burnished bronze deco bas reliefs, golden onyx fire mantles & lighted urns. Still needs a lot of restoring!
