this the way i was taught to draw. and it generally works. with this method the strongest fastest person will win.

This is actually a good way to draw. It's a pull with a sort of twist to it. Just because most people are not taught this strategy doesn't mean it's wrong. Plus, it doesn't matter if you're right-handed or left-handed. The only rules about the draw are 1. The pocket has to face your goalie 2. You can't move after the ref sets up the draw, including before the whistle 3. The ball has to go up and over your head

this was absolutely awful and did not help at all. nobody pushes anymore and the head wasn't even facing the right way

This is wrong. The girl in the back is pulling to the wrong side, you would be giving the ball to the opposite team. The open part of the net, where you catch and stuff, should always be facing the opposite goal. And depending on whether your pushing or pulling depends on where you stand.

Wings can position themselves anywhere around the center circle so the center isn't necessarily "giving" the ball to anyone. Actually the open pocket faces your defensive goal then both sticks are dropped to the right. Depending on whether a player is right or left handed determines where they stand.
